Never heard of it, but it would be nice to get a 10k tax credit for a standby genset on LPG or NG with an ats (auto transfer station-so you don't backfeed into lines).

FEMA does, from time to time reimburse for the FEMA tornado doors/shelters.

Run, don’t walk, away.

With that FEMA money comes all sorts of nonsense. You will spend twice what you get back.

Just take care of your own house, and leave FEMA out of it.

You have to have an existing medical condition that requires electrical power. Just buying one to keep the refrigerator running doesn’t qualify.

Why burden the taxpaying minority with a personal use item? Buy it yourself, install a double throw switch and stand on your own hind legs.

Does your insurance cover losses? Use some of the money to buy the generator and equipment....

It appears that you have to rent or buy it AFTER the disaster has been declared (meaning the event must happen first) and only for powering medically necessary equipment with a doctor's order.
