I’ve heard it, but it’s before my time. They are Canadian.

Kev, you’re a stand up guy. Why are you sending us to a youtube page where we can’t control the play button or anything else and why is the first minute all talk? :)

Am I missing the joke?

I heard it. I brings back no particular memories, though...

FTC

When I was a little boy, I thought they were singing "I got a kitchen moon train." I didn't question it. I just tried to picture in my head what a kitchen moon train would be, how it might look. It didn't make sense to me, but I liked it. The more surreal the better, that's how I rolled. And I figured a kitchen moon train could only roll weirdly. Truly.

Oh, yeah. Lots of airplay in the fall of 1971.

Where I live there are actually three full time classic 70’s stations which if I’m not listening to talk, that’s what’s on. While this song isn’t on regular rotation, it’s one I’ve heard very often.

I remember it very clearly. I thought the guitar solo was pretty good.

I always thought it was by another, better-known band, like the early Eagles or the early Doobies. I had no idea it was a one-hit wonder.

I remember this song quite well. I was 21 when it first hit the airwaves.

This is one I have never heard of, but thanks for sharing. It reminds me a bit of something like Brownsville Station might have done.

Okay, the comment from Wickedashtray at the YouTube link.

Hilarious, twisted sense of humor. I can understand why some might be appalled, but I busted out laughing.

I’d rather not. To save others time it is Sweet City Woman, many of us heard it plenty of times already back in the day.

I hated it years ago.

It still sucks.

It sounds like they're hog yodeling.
