Heckler & Koch, the German weapons manufacturer whose guns are estimated to have killed more than 2 million people since the company was founded in 1949, has quietly adopted the most ethical sales policy of any gunmaker in the world.
The company has pledged no longer to sell arms into warzones or to countries that violate corruption and democracy standards, including Saudi Arabia, Israel, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, or any African countries. [Emphasis Mine]

WTF! Israel lumped in with Muslim tyrannies?
So, how are they going to stop arms dealers from doing what H&K says that it shall not do?
Isn’t HK actually owned by the Brits at this time?
Germans don’t like armed Jews.
“...whose guns are estimated to have killed more than 2 million people since the company was founded in 1949,...”
Pretty damned smarrt guns. They didn’t need people at all.
Gads, the Guardian folks have to be roughly seven sigma to the left of average on the Bell Curve.
But, then again, they ARE the Guardian. And we know all about that collection of clowns.
More mohammedans than Jews are affected by the stated policy.
I guess Germans don’t like armed mohammedans.
Plenty of other companies, including US companies, who can take up the slack.
Yes, smarrt. I actually wanted to type smarrrrrrrrt, but got overcome by the desire to f*rt in the Guardian’s general direction.
First Point: Has H&K started building armed robots? As we all know, guns don’t kill anybody, people kill other people.
Second Point: How many people have been killed by other people using AK-47’s? I’ll bet it is a lot more than these knuckleheads are blaming on H&K.
I suspect the price-tag on H&K weapons is a problem now on the open market. When your competition is selling the same basic weapon...same quality...at half the price, you don’t move weapons much then.
The ghosts of Sturm and Ruger are still found on the executive boards of several companies...
... Including, apparently, the UK Guardian.
I’m sure Jericho will find this news most beneficial. Dummies.
And I love my Hks too.
Numbers of people are not a factor. Excluding a whole country on a false basis is the problem, especially with the history here.
“So, how are they going to stop arms dealers from doing what H&K says that it shall not do?”
That would void the warranty. /sarc
No. BAE Industries owned H&K for three years, from 1999 to 2002 when they sold it to German investors who created a holding company called HK Beteiligungs-GmbH.
I don’t think they mind that much. They had a couple of divisions of them back in the Waffen SS days.
That's silly. The mohammedan countries are far more affected, and contain vastly more people. Aside from Turkey, they have no worthwhile domestic arms industry. Israel makes excellent arms for its own use and for export. Clearly, they're more concerned with armed mohammedans.
England refused to sell guns to the Colonies but American ingenuity built enough to send them back over the waters.
