E V A C U A T E !

Good grief!

Yet another example of someone who refused to leave to protect themselves, thereby forcing emergency personnel to evaluate risking their lives to help.

She might not have been able to afford to evacuate, but she could have at the very least gone to a public evacuation center to be more safe, and to protect the life of the baby about to come.

People like this anger me.

Lucky for this young lady, she got a 911 operator who knew how to instruct someone in a very tense moment. Poor girl, though, no family around, no man around at that crucial moment, but she and her baby survived it anyway.
She chose not to sit still and be a victim of circumstances.

You know that you can make a soup out of the placenta. I read that in a book that my ex-wife’s hippie girlfriend had. I almost barfed then and I think I’m getting nauseous remembering it now.

I've read that of all the primates, this is very difficult for humans because the human baby exits facing away from the mother.

All other primates are born facing the mother.

Something to do with humans big brain, big head, etc.

Well, I just found this and I'm not going to change what I've said above:(maybe next time)

Chimps Give Birth Like Humans

"A key feature of human childbirth, long thought to be unique to Homo sapiens — the arrival of the baby facing backwards relative to its mother — has been observed in our closest living relatives, chimpanzees."

It used to be when there was going to be a huge snow storm that women who were due would go to the hospital early in case they went into labor and this happened...

why didn’t she go to a shelter or to a hospital...even a local fire station somewhere...early...

Arrest her for child abuse. Place the baby up for adoption.

I empathize with the woman, having borne several babies myself. As billions of mothers and fathers know, childbirth can be a bit of a nervewracking experience, especially the first child.

But this kind of headline always makes me laugh. Women deliver their own babies (unless you're talking about a Caesarian section).

About 90% of the time, a mother delivering a baby without professional help will ultimately do just fine. Having a doctor yank a baby out of an over-anesthetized mother, using forceps, is often much worse for mother and baby than an unplanned home birth.

Yes of course it's better to have an experienced midwife than to deliver alone. But hospital births have their own unexpected risks.

People such as this woman are not in our country because they are intelligent. Most are here to cash in on freebies.
