The Washington National Cathedral on Wednesday said it will remove stained glass windows honoring Confederate generals, saying they act as a barrier to our important work on racial justice and racial reconciliation. In a statement, Cathedral leaders said theyve debated for two years whether to remove the windows honoring Gen. Robert E. Lee and Gen. Thomas Stonewall Jackson. That debate concluded Tuesday, and the Cathedral Chapter voted to remove them.

The only thing Episcopalians have left is their old buildings.
Okay. They remove the windows. Then what?
Stained glass windows keep the cold outside
While the hypocrites hide inside
At least both Lee and Jackson were Christians (See “Christ in the Camp” for stories of revivals in the last days of the Confederate army).
I thought the Democrats passed a law in the 50s giving these memorials the same rights as any other historical veterans memorial.
In ten years, they will regret this....................
I bet if the stained glass had pictures of queers, they would stay up!!!My GAWD, seems they have ALL gone completely out of their minds!!
They can remove windows. God has removed their lamp stand.
Disgusting
Holy Moly, where will this madness end?
Chumps!
I would guess that would apply to memorials on Federal property, for example, the major battlefields. Since this Den of SJWs is private property they can do whatever they want.
I’m waiting for the Confederate stuff to be removed from actual battlefield sites.
When to we change the name of the capitol city?
Fundamental Transformation
Rain and snow come in the building.
Next it maybe Woodrow Wilson's turn.
His grandson was dean of the cathedral and Wilson's body is still there.
Are those speaking for the Cathedral even aware of how the beloved Generals actually treated people of other races? Consider, for example, the fact that Stonewall Jackson taught a Sunday School class for Black children, before the war?
Or consider the fact that Robert E. Lee did more than almost anyone else, North or South, to promote sectional reconciliation during his remaining 5 years, after the War.
This action is precisely the opposite to promoting any form of reconciliation.
How is that determined? Who gets to decide? 'justice' & 'reconciliation'? Do whites have a say?
“The Washington National Cathedral on Wednesday said it will remove stained glass windows honoring Confederate generals”
Good idea. Replace them with black transgender mohammedans. Whatever makes the movers and shakers in the Washington National Cathedral feel good about themselves.
