More than once in my years on the Internet I’ve gone looking for vague photos that I’ve seen before. I went looking for a very specific photo from a baseball game some years ago. I even knew the names of the players involved. I went through over 10,000 photos with no luck. The Web is worse than a needle in a haystack.

Good luck to you.

I collect such photos but do not have anything like what you are asking for.

But if you search from Flickr, the Yahoo.com service you will find tens of thousands of WWI images. Search by name and by group. I belong to a couple of the many WWI groups and each member posts new additions to our collections as we find them.

There are some collectors in those groups who only collect WWI and they have huge numbers of images. Very friendly people.

Here is a link to my own WWI Flickr uploads. I have a WWI album you can look through and there are links to various WWI groups.

If I can be of help let me know.

Settle for a trombone and the tent?

Or the violin and company?

Violin-tent imagery may be restricted where you are.

You can try the Imperial War Museum and the Royal Air Force Museum in UK.

I did a reprint of a WWI aircraft book and obtained large size glossy prints from original negatives.

Specifically any pic of a soldier w/helmet standing in front of a tent with a violin.

That's a very specific request. May I ask why that particular specification?
