Evidently they believe freedom of religion really means freedom from religion.

Since it’s not obvious from the article, Lidl is a European grocery chain headquartered in Germany.

I take it that this is a store brand?
Why, then, select that picture?

LIDL is new to the USA with only a few stores, but big plans. Their behavior needs to be corrected now by communication or business killing boycotts.

Well, it’s a store brand - the store has a right to market its own products as it sees fit. It’s rather pathetic and weak that it thinks the best way to do this is to hide symbols of Christianity - no store in an Islamic country would dream of hiding any aspect of Islam to make Christians feel more comfortable.

Stupid thing to do - you’d need a magnifying glass to even see the cross in the first place...but then who inspects every supermarket package out there looking for missing crosses? That’s a bit weird in itself.

Was Orwell a genius and prophet or what?
Actions like this are bringing the world closer to Islamic whitewashing of our society. Censoring Christianity further contributes to the rot of Western Civilization.

Why do only the liberals get to make these ludicrous demands?
I want the word "cheese" to be airbrushed from all cheese packaging. I'm having my lawyer drawing up the necessary demand papers even as I type this.
Oh, and here's why. While eating some cheese, my sister was bitten by a moose. The mere sight of the word "cheese" on packaging sets her off. So the word "cheese" must go.
And by the way, all copies of this cartoon series must be destroyed:

Lidl has defended its decision to airbrush Christian symbols from its packaging, claiming the supermarket wants to remain religiously neutral. So I will spit you out of my mouth, because you are only warm and not hot or cold.

DOES NOT WISH TO EXCLUDE ANY RELIGIOUS BELIEFS
And they thought the best way to do that was by excluding Christian symbols from a picture of a church?

Greeks remember the time when Greece was under occupation by Turks. Oh, the media never reminds us of that! Once again, symbolically, Greece is being subjugated to Turkey.
