It does seem to be a game amongst celebrities to see which one can say the most outlandish things against Trump. And they will look even more foolish in retrospect.
To: Drew68; Yaelle
I remember them trying to paint Taylor as a Neo-Nazi because of those picture quotes.
Honestly, I found them humorous they would even exist.
Taylor is many things, but she is not an Anti-Semite.
Because you have two Jews here on F.R. who are fans of hers.

If you're an actor or singer, or anyone famous, you MUST be for Hillary, against half the country, and above all against Trump. And God forbid if you think you have the right to keep your voting choices to yourself.

Heaven forbid that anyone would want to Make America Great Again. So, it’s come down to the obvious dem slogan of Let’s Destroy America, because it’s “racist, Sexist, homophobic, Islamophobic, you name it.

Yes, in the Orwellian world the Democrat party even silence is a crime.
Every liberal is a violent totalitarian thug.

They must be upset that with all of the millions she takes in that she does not sufficiently donate to liberal organizations/candidates.
Consider it a shakedown (like Al Sharpton used to pull). Write “me” a check and “I’ll” go quiet.

The “other side” buys tickets, videos and CDs too. It is smart to avoid annoying them needlessly.

There was a case in Denver last month. A DJ grabbed Taylor's butt during a photo op. Taylor's manager told the DJ's station, and he got fired.
HE sued HER! for some ridiculous millions of dollars. She countersued for one dollar. She won.

She's smart. She started out country and some of her audience still comes from that quarter.
Articles like this do have an effect, though. Stars read enough publicity telling them they ought to speak out about something and eventually most of them do.

HE sued HER! for some ridiculous millions of dollars. She countersued for one dollar. She won. And every day she showed up in that courtroom. She didn't have to. The case was so preposterous, her personal testimony wasn't needed. Her lawyers could've handled it on their own. Yet, she booked a hotel in Denver and went to court each day. And in the end, squashed that drunken, groping DJ like a bug.

What we need in this country is a secret ballot.
Naw. Never work.

> This is straight-up McCarthyism. <
McCarthy was treated unfairly by history, IMO. That aside, you’re right. This is McCarthyism. We should shout that from the rooftops. And it’s affecting everybody now. Entertainers, professors, people who post on YouTube, etc.
But in a way, this is even worse. McCarthy went after Communists, and “former” Communists. He didn’t bother the apolitical.
But for today’s left, being apolitical (or politically neutral) is not enough. You MUST be a leftist.
Sort of like living in the old USSR. It was not enough to have no pictures of the Tsar in your house. You better have a picture of Comrade Stalin up on the wall, or you’re in trouble.
