I'm spoiled, apparently.

The Alabama offensive play reminded me of the losing game against Clemson last year.

It was exactly like Clemson, with one exception, FSU’s quarterback play couldn’t touch Deshaun Watson. Special teams made a lot of big plays. The line was awful. We have great receivers that never get thrown to. Unlike Clemson, the defense got stronger, not weaker.

But 24-7 against a solid team that is very high rated, as opposed to the dishrags most teams played; just enjoy the ride. Roll Tide!

Dominant win.

Florida State is toast for the season after that.

That was a 1 vs 3 matchup. Can’t win every game by 50.

Could be worse, they could be Florida fans.

Seemed to me FL State beat themselves, but denied Bama several TD opportunities.

Good game, but Saban has some tuning yet to do.

Good defenses can make an offense flounder, especially in the first day of the year.

Tide’s defense was dominant and will be tough for Baker Mayfield to whoop their asses.

That Alabama defense was ferocious. FSU still loses that game even if their starting QB Deondre Francois wasn’t injured. To me the only weakness for the Tide is their QB play. Jalen Hurts is not that great a signal caller but if the defense plays lights out like last night, and Hurts doesn’t make any big mistakes it looks like another trip to the national championship game for the Tide next January.

I especially root for any team who plays the Crimson Tide. My heart was ripped out many Sugar Bowls ago.

...some Alabama fans are still wringing their hands and complaining about this and that.

That's normal.

Alabama has more armchair coaches that any other NCAA team.

And they are worth exactly what they get paid.

Nothing.

I'm liking this guy they hired from the Patriots, though.

I can already see some of his influence.

Roll, Tide, Roll!

C’mon! First game of the season against a highly-ranked opponent at a neutral site. A pretty dominant second half and a seventeen-point win. Bama will improve each week.

The combined IQ of both teams wouldn’t surpass room temperature, but yes, go team!

I’m a Tennessee fan and, unlike most, consider Alabama our traditional rival. You give credit where it is due. Bama is on a run which, even the Bear would be amazed to see. That,in itself says a lot.

FSU still can’t protect their QB like last year, and the post Dalvin Cook era looks a little thin at running back. Looks like Clemson will be at the top of the ACC again this season, as the Seminoles don’t look like a top 3 team.

"The relentless pursuit of perfection."

Did a quick search on Saban. I had no idea that he started at Toledo, went 9-2,and then went to be a defensive coordinator under Bill Belichick for the Browns.

(Seriously, how bad are the Browns, to have Belichick and Saban leading the team, and still not be better than 7-9 in 4 of 5 years? They went 11-5 in 1994, won the wildcard game over the Patriots, and lost to the Steelers after that.)

I also didn't know that he was absolutely mediocre at MSU, going 25-22-1 until he went 9-2 in his final year, leaving the team before their only Bowl game under Saban.

At LSU, he was very very good (48-16, one Title). Everyone knows that.

I didn't know that he only went 7-6 in his first year at Alabama (officially 2-6, with 5 wins vacated for improper textbook distribution)... and 113-12 since... plus 4 more Rings
