Texas is bracing itself for the storm of the decade as Hurricane Harvey barrels towards the state, which is expecting catastrophic flooding, power outages, winds up to 130mph and 30 inches of rain. The U.S. National Hurricane Center said Harvey has 'rapidly intensified' and experts say weather conditions have created the perfect recipe for the monster Category 3 hurricane to form and crash into Texas late on Friday night. The national guard has been mobilized amid fears over the life-threatening flash flooding, which poses 'a grave risk' to Texans as the hurricane is expected to be the strongest to hit the United States mainland in 12 years since Hurricane Wilma in 2005.

Wasn’t there a confederate general named Harvey? This storm is clearly something that proves the danger of confederate stuff.
I’m sure it’s caused completely by climate change, that’ll be the next headline!
No, Harvey is a Pooka.
God please bless the good folks in Texas. This could spell devastation for many people.
my guess is G-d is waiting for the globull warming claims and then the storm will circle the gulf and dissipate.
al gore to bloviate soon.
My movie was a disaster, but wait until it plays in texas.
Phew. "Alligator Infested Flooding". Might be the definition of misery.
This is a set-up story for the coming wave of “Trump failed in the Harvey response.”
Time will tell. Wish all well.
So, ... for the Tex Coast Harvey path locations, Gov. and mayors, declare a mandatory Evacuation Order.
Prayers up for those in the path.
So I’m not the only one picturing Texas attacked by a giant invisible rabbit.
Anyway, hope it won’t be as bad as predicted. Newsies will exaggerate incoming weather just for ratings.
“Alligator infested flooding”
Oh no!
Could it be . . . will it be. . . GATORNADO ?
“Worst hurricane in 12 years.”
That’s because we haven’t had a direct hurricane hit in 142 months.
Folks, it’s the beginning of Hurricane season.
Let’ calm down. If you don’t like Hurricanes . . . MOVE.
Pray for the well-being and safety of our fellow citizens in the path of the storm.
And snakes.
Our local news this morning was reporting that FEMA had activated emergency responders teams, and they are already heading from our area (Nebraska) to the gulf coast.
Prayers for those in the affected areas.
And crazy ants and fire ants.
You got that right. I will be safe in North Texas. Thanks for the good thoughts.
Relax! It’s named after Harvey Milk.
Don’t forget to stock up on milk and bread.
Don’t forget about the fire ants. They’re really going to be P-O’d.
