Your team is in 4th place and 15 games out with no chance of going to the playoffs and your’re talking smack. What an AHOLE.

I grew up listening to Yankee baseball on AN in the days of Thurmon Munson. Not so much any more.

In case you haven’t noticed, the Yankees are in position to make the playoffs.

And remember, it was the Tigers who started this mess.

The Tigers’ Michael Fulmer had hit Gary Sanchez. No action was taken, and no warnings were issued. (BTW, I hate the warning rule.)

Tommy Kahnle threw behind Miguel Cabrera. Didn’t hit him. Kahnle was ejected. Joe Girardi was furious that his pitcher had been ejected with no warnings having been issued. he came out and argued, and he was ejected.

Once the dust had seemingly settled, Aroldis Chapman was brought in to face Cabrera. Cabrera stepped in and began jawing at Yankees catcher Austin Romine, who jawed at him right back. Cabrera shoved Romine. They traded punches, and the benches cleared. Cabrera and Romine got ejected.

In the seventh, Tigers catcher James McCann was hit in the head by Yankees reliever Dellin Betances. McCann went down, but was OK. Betances was ejected. (If you’re hitting someone on purpose, you don’t hit him in the head. Umpires know that.) But they ejected Betances and bench coach Rob Thompson, who had taken over as manager on Girardi’s ejection.

In the eighth, Tigers pitcher Alex Wilson hit Todd Frazier (deliberately.) Benches cleared again.

Quite a ballgame, with many ejections. I’m not sure these umpires know what they’re doing.

I agree and I am from New York. The Yankees now symbolize all that is wrong with New York City - self-important and declining.

I have to admit it, the Yankees do suck. I mean, to lose even a game, to allow even a run to a horrid organization like the New Fallijah Tigers is a disgrace. How low have the Yankees sunk that they let what is effectively a AAA team beat them! Ha ha Yankees, you let this bunch of minor leaguers (with some MLB players that must be on re-hab assignments) beat you. You let the team from a city that needs money to demolish itself best you?!? Really? Ha ha!!

If I were the Tigers I would take some of that huge luxury tax money they get from the Yankees and instead of the owner pocketing it (AAA teams don’t cost as much) use it to demolish their own stadium. Next time the Yankees are in town above it in their faces that they are funding the Tigers
contribution to demolishing Detroit.

The Yankees suck! I know I for one will be rooting for the Tigers in the AAA playoffs this year. Way to go Tigers, after the suspensions are handed down it will be as if half the Yankee team is on the DL for a week. Should cost them at least three games in the standings. Note to Yankees, lie down with dogs. . .

Lifelong fan who left the Yankee organization the last year of Jeters career when the YES Network wanted more money from Service Electric customers to keep the channel. Have not seen a game on TV since then. The Yankees also block out any MLB Network games and any games they play inter league with the Phillies and Pirates. I'll keep my 77 and 78 team memories they were the best anyway.

Ah the Yankees. As was said in the past rooting for them was like rooting for US Steel when it was so dominant. I don’t begrudge them but in my small sample of conversations in the NY metro area I was shocked how many local denizens really hate them.

I seem to remember something about the Yankees being the professional sports franchise with the most championships of any other sports franchise.

Hold that, tiger!
