The New York Yankees are drunk with the power of their metropolis.
Their "attitude" is undeserving.
Tonight, the Detroit Tigers shredded the Yankees in a game with sniper pitches and bench clearing brawls.
Tigers won. Yankees LOST, in so many ways.
BTW: LaGuardia airport is almost as much a shthole as the Yankee manager and team.
The Stankies?
Your team is in 4th place and 15 games out with no chance of going to the playoffs and your’re talking smack. What an AHOLE.
What a loser viewpoint.
Your pitcher hit our catcher in the head at bat in retaliation for your sucking in the first place.
Our catcher then hit a home run at the next bat.
..and then you lost, by a lot.
Girardi is a Barbie Doll, playing to the NY cameras.
...you can’t win convincingly, but you can certainly lose convincingly.
NY, gotta love the construction.
I grew up listening to Yankee baseball on AN in the days of Thurmon Munson. Not so much any more.
Ha ha Yankees suck!
Them and their stupid nancy pinstripes.
In case you haven’t noticed, the Yankees are in position to make the playoffs.
And remember, it was the Tigers who started this mess.
The Tigers Michael Fulmer had hit Gary Sanchez. No action was taken, and no warnings were issued. (BTW, I hate the warning rule.)
Tommy Kahnle threw behind Miguel Cabrera. Didnt hit him. Kahnle was ejected. Joe Girardi was furious that his pitcher had been ejected with no warnings having been issued. he came out and argued, and he was ejected.
Once the dust had seemingly settled, Aroldis Chapman was brought in to face Cabrera. Cabrera stepped in and began jawing at Yankees catcher Austin Romine, who jawed at him right back. Cabrera shoved Romine. They traded punches, and the benches cleared. Cabrera and Romine got ejected.
In the seventh, Tigers catcher James McCann was hit in the head by Yankees reliever Dellin Betances. McCann went down, but was OK. Betances was ejected. (If youre hitting someone on purpose, you dont hit him in the head. Umpires know that.) But they ejected Betances and bench coach Rob Thompson, who had taken over as manager on Girardis ejection.
In the eighth, Tigers pitcher Alex Wilson hit Todd Frazier (deliberately.) Benches cleared again.
Quite a ballgame, with many ejections. Im not sure these umpires know what theyre doing.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnd.......the Yankees lose!
I just landed at LaGuardia, it’s a world class faculty.
The Yankees have been totally screwing the small teams and to a lesser extent the rest of the league by balancing their illegal payroll numbers with TV revenues from local and national deals like with ESPN. They have been sniping players from all over the leagues with offers to the players for astronomical numbers then getting hammered with the luxury tax. This has been happening every year since 2003 and the team was willing to prostitute itself out to the camera to cover the loss. They have payed $324 million to the league since the inception of the competitive balance tax initiated to protect the small market teams from actions like this. And according to the AP, they still owe $23.4 million dollars for the 2016 season. This bill is so high they pay installments. And it is in direct violation of the act but they don’t care as they cover it with tv contracts. They then raise the prices to help the offset. According to the NY Post, Yankee Stadium has been run like a clip joint.

Baseball has it’s goods and bads. Maybe during the years of the Dimaggio and Ruth the fan was given a brake. But today’s Yankees are the most money hungry franchise in professional sports. And the fan is nothing more than a means to an end.

The Yankees suck! ...
Yankees are Americas team. The Cowboys are Americas team.
It’s just a natural reality, always has been.
Not my team, they’re gay and suck.. Effe NY and their effete
Lieberals ..
As a Redsox fan I approve of this message.
I agree and I am from New York. The Yankees now symbolize all that is wrong with New York City - self-important and declining.
Just read that the Cowboys are the most valuable franchise in the world at $4.2 billion. Yankees are second at $3.7 billion.
I was surprised to see that the Manchester United soccer club is third at $3.69B.

I have to admit it, the Yankees do suck. I mean, to lose even a game, to allow even a run to a horrid organization like the New Fallijah Tigers is a disgrace. How low have the Yankees sunk that they let what is effectively a AAA team beat them! Ha ha Yankees, you let this bunch of minor leaguers (with some MLB players that must be on re-hab assignments) beat you. You let the team from a city that needs money to demolish itself best you?!? Really? Ha ha!!
If I were the Tigers I would take some of that huge luxury tax money they get from the Yankees and instead of the owner pocketing it (AAA teams don’t cost as much) use it to demolish their own stadium. Next time the Yankees are in town above it in their faces that they are funding the Tigers
contribution to demolishing Detroit.
The Yankees suck! I know I for one will be rooting for the Tigers in the AAA playoffs this year. Way to go Tigers, after the suspensions are handed down it will be as if half the Yankee team is on the DL for a week. Should cost them at least three games in the standings. Note to Yankees, lie down with dogs. . .
The league never ever should have let George Steinbrenner back into Baseball and should have made him sell the franchise. He was nothing but a greedy crook.
