You captured my thoughts perfectly.

AAMOF, just yesterday we arrived in Massachusetts to learn more about the Revolutionary War. So many historical sites in the USA to see.

Fall into one and you die?

Not likely. With such a high salt content, your body would be hyper-bouyant. Though, I wouldn't want to venture a guess as to how corrosive it would be to the skin. You might last for 10 minutes or so.

We use pink Himalayan salt. That’s good enough for me.

Sicily's Salt Road...Marsala/Trapani, Sicily...

Not as dramatic as the Peruvian salt ponds, but (maybe) safer. Plus...there's always the Marsala wine.

I’d as soon go see a copper mine. In fact, I’d rather go see a copper mine. Bigger, and maybe I could take a tour and learn how one operates.

That just looks like a bunch of dump ponds.

Tragedy after tragedy. It is Mexico. Ive seen enough of that culture here to know it is worse there and I want none of it.

Do those things happen only at the cheap resorts? Not a lot of hotels named.

Horrible stories.

And not just history, but so much *natural* beauty and strangeness, too. It would take a lifetime to really explore the US - each state is almost like a little country unto itself.
