Good morning people,
A few of things to keep in mind about the violence yesterday: 1) The NAZI / KKK / Alt Right / White Supremacists / Trump Supporters (whatever you want to call them) had a legal permit to march in Charlottesville. 2) The march was peaceful until the 'counter protesters', the people without permits (the Bernie people), showed up. 3) The police were ordered to stand-down, by the government - hence the violence was intentional.
One Leftist that I know says that the easy way to avoid the violence is to not permit the NAZIs (and similar groups) to protest. In other words, if there's a threat of violence, not from the marchers, but from their opponents, then don't allow the march. So I pointed out a few things:
1) Where does it end? Right after Trump took office there was 'Million Women March' - if Trump's people had threatened to attack that march with guns, would the proper response be to tell those women to go home and forget it? Or, instead, have the police round up Trump's people? Hopefully most would agree that Trump's people would need to be rounded up? [but, of course, no violence happened, since our side never instigates the violence]
2) So does that mean that someone in government gets to 'decide' which peaceful groups (i.e., the NAZIs or the Women) get to march and which ones do not? Doesn't sound good to me. What if Trump government decide that violence is more likely when Women march than when the KKK marches...would that be ok? Or should every peaceful group be allowed to march, with implication anyone who starts violence is arrested and held accountable?
3) How far should this extend? If Trump wants to hold a rally in Springfield, Missouri, but the local Democrat Party (or some other group) promises that they will violently attack the Trump people, should the event then be canceled? Should Trump be allowed to address any large group, if violence is threatened? Should Trump be permitted to address any group (large or small) if violence is threatened. Should any Republican be permitted to address any group, if violence is threatened? Should any Republican be allowed to speak in public, at all?
4) In Australia a Jewish Synagogue was refused a building permit last week, not because the Jews in Australia are violent, but because other groups (and we know who they are) might attack the synagogue. Is that the end game...no more houses of worship if just the existence those houses of worship might incite people? In Texas, there's a battle between What-A-Burger and In-and-Out Burger going on in Dallas right now. If the people working at What-A-Burger threaten to burn down In-and-Outs, should In-and-Out be denied building permits, even though In-and-Out is a peaceful company? Should the people of Dallas have to continue to suffer under the reign of What-A-Burger because of the threat of violence against In-and-Out? Like I ask, where does this end?

I’m doing good dude, thanks. I’m surprised anyone can find a parking space in Harrison. I wonder when Harrison is going to swallow up East Newark.
Like all of you, I suppose, I have been watching events carefully for months. We have all of us (at least almost all of us) we had hoped that winning an election might have consequences. And it has had some, Gorsuch, etc. for the life of me I can’t understand why Trump lets the media use him for a punching bag when all he has to do is have Sessions arrest Hillary and the headlines would be radically different in hours.
As others have pointed out we are told we must do all sorts of things to recognize the legitimacy of BLM, we must ask ourselves if 911 happened because Arabs don’t have jobs, all sorts of stuff but let a couple handfuls of White people try to protect a statue of RE Lee and OMG the world is going to come to and end because White Nazis.
The reality that is likely is that Trump probably was bogged down with Deep State baggage since he came down the escalator. Trump and Kim are saber rattling on the International Kabuki stage. Most Americans will continue to live their credit fueled economic decline. As we freepers watch from our Barcaloungers and try to make sense of it all the media will continue to demonize us because White Nazis.
So what is the answer? Zoloft? Legal Pot? Beats me.
Maybe so, but for how long? Meanwhile, they will pick us off, a few at a time, and yes, I believe the government HAS chosen sides, and it ain't ours.
Glad to hear all is well!
If Christie has his way East Newark would be merged into either Kearny or Harrison; too many small towns here, and each little fiefdom has its own operating overhead that makes it uneconomical. A couple of years ago East Newark threatened to send their kids to Kearny High instead of Harrison because Harrison was charging them too much; that sharing of schools is normally seen in less-dense areas of NJ.
Harrison is trying to become another Hoboken, but I don’t see that happening; too close to Newark (they have Newark ‘hood rats committing armed robberies in Harrison), and too few people speaking English. Homes in Harrison, East Newark, and the south end of Kearny that don’t have off-street parking really get hurt in terms of value; I believe Harrison has resident parking stickers for some town lots (like the one under Route 280).
Trump will be blamed for it. All “Whites” will be blamed for it. I condemn the violence. Don’t blame me for it. STFU.
Where does it end? When people the disagrees with sit down and shut up.
To answer your question as to when does it end. The answer is “body bags”
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It seems decades ago I worked my ass off so my kids go do a little better than I did. Then I became a freeper and realized I had better do whatever I could to keep my grandkids out of a gulag. This morning I am wondering if just maybe Hunter S Thompson may not have been the most rational person in the last hundred years...
This whole thing smells like a Soros-funded psy-op.
It’s not like he doesn’t have a history of doing things like this.
We need to ask first, where does violence START. What started this? Ask the city council if removing a Confederate statue and changing the name of a park was worth this. That revision of history for a bunch of black snowflakes is disgusting. To keep it even, every time a confederate statue comes down a street should be renamed from Martin Luther King to Trump Avenue. If they can’t stand the latter, then don’t do the former. “We” have deep feelings too.
It has been evident to me for a long while that we are headed toward violence. What is not evident is how it ends.
The first Amendment guarantees my right to peaceably assemble.
THAT'S what needs to go.
They killed Kennedy because he knew it, believed it, and wanted to do something about it.
THAT'S why Trump needs to plug the leaks, shore up his administration, strengthen the military and stay alive.
HE'S been playing the Fed/banker game all his life.
He knows it and I personally believe he doesn't like it.
That's right...We're all the same group according to MSM and Democrats..
“Thank you Mr. Obama. Never in 100 years have we had so much mob violence.”........
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Not going to happen.”
Then, what is Mr. Mueller up to with his boundless witch hunt, his legion of “brilliant” left wing lawyersand his obvious disregard, in his boundless meanderings, for obvious transgressions by the left?
Just asking.
IMHO
Another “civil war” is brewing and odumbo is still stirring the pot from the dark side.
