For those who are naive about the genius of this man...I’m 54 I’ve been playing guitar since I was 14 and I still cannot even begin to imagine how this guy could possibly play like this. ALL of what he is playing here is improvised, meaning he is making it up right on the spot, and you can see that in his pauses...He pauses for a split second in certain sections and then he just utterly rips...

I watched the special TV documentary on Campbell tonight which highlighted his good-bye tour and his rising above the Alzheimer's Disease which gripped him during the tour.
(He could hardly remember his own name during this rather lengthy bus tour, but he performed on stage flawlessly).
It was a well-made production and done in good taste...but rather a downer for me while watching it. The documentary was just too tinged with sadness.
I will remember him through YouTube and other outlets as a wonderful, talented performer who, remarkably, handled his final tour with courage and perfection despite the grip the disease had on him during this time.
RIP, dear Glenn.
