Lena Dunham is calling out American Airlines after the actress claimed to have overheard two apparent employees engaged in "transphobic talk."
The "Girls" creator said her flight on another airline was delayed for hours Wednesday at New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Dunham, 31, wrote that the "worst part of this night" waiting at the airport came when she overheard two American Airlines' "attendants having a transphobic talk."
"At this moment in history we should be teaching our employees about love and inclusivity @AmericanAir," she added in a subsequent tweet. "That was worst part of this night."
Dunham then seemingly posted a screenshot of a direct message conversation she said she'd had with the airline.
In the message, the actress goes into further detail about what she claims to have overheard, writing that they were "talking about how trans kids are a trend they'd never accept a trans child and transness is gross."
"I think it reflects badly on uniformed employees of your company to have that kind of dialogue going on," Dunham continued. "What if a trans teen was walking behind them? Awareness starts at home but jobs can set standards of practice. Thanks for your consideration!"
In another screenshot, American Airlines appears to have replied, writing that they're "passing this along to our team to review."

She overhears two AA flight attendants walking through the airport having an apparently PRIVATE conversation. but because they don't follow her rules of political correctness she thinks she should make a stink with their employer, American Airlines. There is no suggestion that they were on duty with passengers at a flight, but because she overheard their private conversation and they were going to or from their workplace in uniform, she thinks it is her duty to try to pressure American Airlines to engage in thought control with all of its employees.
I call B.S., but it doesn’t matter. Liberals must always be in the limelight.
Lena Dunham overhears a private conversation and uses it (in her version) to pressure their employer to..... what???? re-educate (propagandize) thousands of American Airline employees to hold the politically correct opinions of Lena Dunham???!!
Not clear what she thinks AA is supposed to do, but obviously she thinks the airline must take some kind of public accountability for the private conversation of unknown (anonymous) alleged employees.
Crazy!!!!
There is some truth...
Heck, maybe one of the F/As was a “trans” something.
Or maybe, Dumpy is just trying to extend her 15 minutes.
Memo to self, never discuss any PC thoughts within ear shot of an Obese Unattractive Liberal (Female, Male or Whatever).
Isn’t she the one who molested her little sister?
She’s probably hearing voices in her head.
Oops.

If it did happen, it was a private conversation, and none of her business. Why AA would even address this is beyond me. I’d tell her to punt.
I’ll always believe exactly the opposite of anything this degenerate says.
If you were to listen in on many people’s private conversations you would see that many, many people think transsexuals are gross. What’s next - thought police?
This (I hesitate to say woman) ... thing cannot get enough attention. There is no amount of attention in the universe that would be enough for her.
2) Dunham "overheard", or was she eavesdropping on a private conversation?
Given her history of stories, I would rephrase that to say:
“Lena Dunham makes up a story about overhearing a private conversation and...”
I don’t believe it for one moment.
The use of the suffix “phobic” is hate speech.
Oh Goodie, the Liberal Thought Police (well, Hall Monitor) is leaping into action.
Immediately file a defamation lawsuit against her so she will have to prove her allegations. Hopefully that would wipe her out of the public view where she’s polluting the space.
Yes, actually.
Whats next - thought police?
