It was probably a .38 special with plus P rounds but even so killing a wild hog that big with it is a testament to this mans marksmanship.

Wow. That there’s a big animal. Is it edible?

” The hog tipped the scales at 820 pounds and had six inch tushes.”

and the tusks were pretty big, too.

Wade Seago shot this 820 pound wild hog 5 yards from his front porch in Samson, Alabama. The family dog, a small schnauzer alerted Seago that something was up. (Courtesy Wade Seago).

Back in the 70s I used to drive through Samson (Snuff Town as the locals call it) a few times a year. It was basically a dying town.

Around a year ago I drove through it just to reminisce. I was surprised at how much it had recovered. Looks to be a clean well run town now.

My Uncle’s Father was the first Dr. in Samson.

This may be the biggest animal ever taken with a .38 cal revolver.

Deep State would have restarted the ‘peace process’ with that hog, so as to prove that ‘diplomacy’ is always the best solution.

.45-70 rifles are referred to as “pig rifles” in Texas It will take down a bull buffalo with a single round at distance.

My preferred round for shooting.

Things that make ya go hmmmmm! The first thing that caught my eye was how smooth skinned and even haired he was in the shield area, not something you see on feral hog’s but quite common on domestically raised. The length of the tusks was another. While quite common on a domestic boar they’re usually broken or much shorter on a Feral. An old boar will be covered in scars in the shield are and will have worn down, broken or damaged his tusks along the way. It take allot of chow to get a hog to that size and a natural environment would have great difficulty in providing it. I suspect this old boy had a name before he got loose and wandered into the neighbors yard. If y’all will remember Hogzilla’s name was Fred before he was released into a high-fence enclosure and shot by that kid.

Man shoots mammoth 820 pound wild hog in his front yard

It's getting so bad that even pigs are not safe in their own front yards!!
