Magnitude 7.7 quake hits Alaska - USGS

A powerful quake of magnitude 7.7 struck in the northern Pacific Ocean between the tip of the Aleutian Islands and Russia's Kamchatka, the U.S. Geological Survey said.  The quake was shallow and powerful enough to trigger a tsunami but there was no immediate advisory.

That would not be hard unless you are disabled.
You can walk to higher ground on any island within 30 minutes or less and you’d have a lot longer warning than that ... at least a few hours.

If you stayed in your car and got caught in the traffic you would not make it.

Dad (R.I.P.) was in Hawaii a few years ago & there was a warning to evacuate in Honolulu area one April Saturday evening.

If I had a boat in Cresent City harbor I think I would head out to sea until it passes. They seem to get it even when there is no warning.
