Judges at the European Court of Human Rights have rejected a plea from the parents of terminally-ill baby Charlie Gard....
Chris Gard and Connie Yates lost their final legal bid to take their son to the US for treatment.......
His parents had previously seen a Supreme Court challenge to continue Charlie's life support fail.
European court judges have now concluded it was most likely Charlie was 'being exposed to continued pain, suffering and distress" and undergoing experimental treatment with "no prospects of success--would offer no benefit."
They said the application presented by the parents was "inadmissible" and said the court's decision was "final".
The court "also considered that it was appropriate to life the interim measure" which had required doctors to continue providing life support treatment to Charlie.
BBC health correspondent Fergus Walsh said it is likely Charlie's life support machine will be turned off within a few days following discussions between the hospital and his family.......

Not our problem. Let Europe care for their own citizens.
And, again, not to be cold, but the kid is going to die with or without the experimental treatment. There is no anticipated chance of success. As a parent, I appreciate their pain and concern, but it is now our problem, we cannot fix the ills of the world. If we could, we'd erradicate Islam.
They don’t own their own children? tsk tsk
It will only be a few years until this kind of abomination is happening here, Europe merely has a head-start. Constitutional rights mean nothing when their final interpretation rests with unelected lawyers.
Mental defectives? Absolutely not.Moral defectives? YOU BETCHA!
The post Christian era in Europe has turned into the any abomination is acceptable. If the government decides a baby dies, that baby dies. The parents have no say whatsoever. Not even to take the baby out of the country for possible help at no expense whatsoever to the government. Just stunning and just evil.
Perhaps you are blind to what this is about. It seems the case.
You expressed the though better than I could.
This will be one of those times when there really are no winners, only losers. Sometimes, that is simply the fate of the circumstance, unchangeable by any person on earth.
I have read that the physicians in America said they could not help this baby, either. If they shipped this baby over, the cost of care would exceed the amount of money they raised after a couple of years, and the cost would be placed on the US taxpayer.
Aren’t these the same Euroweenies who send terrorists who kill people to prison for 2 years?
Kill that Baby, he might develop into an another Stephen Hawking, he might discover faster than light travel, now that would be evil.
That would be great. I hope he does that. I can’t even imagine how distraught the parents must be. How desperate.
I just don’t understand it.
2nd amendment invoked in that case would make the point better
Hitchens’ quote made me think. IOW, he thinks after the radical muslims have destroyed most of western europe or left them stagnant, and no longer growing, it will take Red China to come in, wipe out the radical muslims, and install order.
Hmmm.

Above is from April and states that the Amercan doctor can’t be identified. Whatever the heck that meant.
Thanks——I find that very strange.
I cannot imagine what those parents are going through but this entire thing with the mystery “doctor” puzzles me.
An extraordinary amount of money was donated but the donors don’t know who is doing the experimental treatment.?
A tragic situation.
Something else I don’t understand: If the family had/has private money, why don’t they just take their child and go to the US? How can the UK stop them?
How can the UK stop them?
After this case I’d believe anything.

They held this kid for ONE YEAR.
