I often have to disapprove of Thomas Magnum, too, dazzlingly gorgeous as he is. His friends were more mature than he.

Yes, and every so often they’d dress Rick up, too.
To: wally_bert
That was the best part of the show.

But in the end Magnum always got the job done. :) I liked TC a lot.
To: Jemian
The Simon brothers appeared on one or more Magnum PI episodes, I believe.

Now my heart is giving me palpitations. Oh my!
I have all the Magnum episodes. I do enjoy that one. But usually, earlier in the day.

Sounds like Parker has wisdom all too rare in Hollywood. To go from a highly-rated show to off-camera life as a husband and writer and now an obviously very astute observer and commentator on the Constitution and rule of law...
Worldly fame is fleeting. Trying to hold onto it is self-destructive. Parker seems to have grasped that better than most. He comes away the more respectable and admirable for it. I would certainly heed his words over those of Meryl Streep and Leonardo DiCaprio.

It’s interesting in both Magnum and S&S, the main actors are still all friends.

I’ve maybe seen two or three like Rick’s Power Wagon or even close.

Wasn’t he married to Kirstie Alley at one time?

All the while when this show was on me and my brother were in our late teens and would be out together working, going to school or just hanging out and he had blonde hair like AJ and I had the dark hair like Rick. I dressed in camo, tee shirts and jeans, I liked country music, and trucks and my brother was always in polo shirts and shorts or khaki’s and liked sports cars like AJ. It was uncanny how we ended up similar to them.

No! He's been married before but to a Bonnie Parker and now is married to Darlene Carr whose sister was Liesel in The Sound of Music. Carr was in a couple of episodes of Simon and Simon and some other shows. I think he has 4 kids.
To: Tax-chick
I have some of the DVDs. Granted it’s been a few years since I’ve watched them.
It was a good series. I liked the first season open better than the others.

Some episodes are very good, writing and performances. Whether you get a decent video quality (sound matches with lips) seems to depend on the source. It was a good show. I liked Janet, the administrator-type lady.
