So I was surfing around the net and came across readjamesonparker.com Yes, AJ from Simon nad Simon. In 1992 he was shot and seriously injured but obviously recovered. His blog was interesting in that he is very pro-first and second amendment, talks about how our kids aren't being taught about government and although he is pretty disgusted with Washington as a whole (aren't we all) he seems pro-Trump and furious over the democrats (including Nancy Pelosi) and their reaction to the Steve Scalise shooting. I didn't expect this from a Cali celeb. My teenage crush may be back! I was looking him up because my sister recommended his books and especially his autobiography about the time after he was shot, An Accidental Cowboy. Looks like a good read! He talks about the NRA in answering a question. Funny we never get to hear him interviewed, a shooting victim celeb who doesn't blame the gun!
Ha! That made me laugh! I’m 47.
LOL!
I need to take some boys to swim practice.
I often have to disapprove of Thomas Magnum, too, dazzlingly gorgeous as he is. His friends were more mature than he.
Yes, and every so often they’d dress Rick up, too.
That was the best part of the show.
But in the end Magnum always got the job done. :) I liked TC a lot.
Now my heart is giving me palpitations. Oh my!
I have all the Magnum episodes. I do enjoy that one. But usually, earlier in the day.
Worldly fame is fleeting. Trying to hold onto it is self-destructive. Parker seems to have grasped that better than most. He comes away the more respectable and admirable for it. I would certainly heed his words over those of Meryl Streep and Leonardo DiCaprio.
It’s interesting in both Magnum and S&S, the main actors are still all friends.
I’ve maybe seen two or three like Rick’s Power Wagon or even close.
The best commercial Dodge ever had.
Never would have recognized him today.
Wasn’t he married to Kirstie Alley at one time?
It makes one think they are genuinely nice people.
No, that’s Parker Stevenson(of Hardy boys fame).
All the while when this show was on me and my brother were in our late teens and would be out together working, going to school or just hanging out and he had blonde hair like AJ and I had the dark hair like Rick. I dressed in camo, tee shirts and jeans, I liked country music, and trucks and my brother was always in polo shirts and shorts or khaki’s and liked sports cars like AJ. It was uncanny how we ended up similar to them.
I have some of the DVDs. Granted it’s been a few years since I’ve watched them.
It was a good series. I liked the first season open better than the others.
Some episodes are very good, writing and performances. Whether you get a decent video quality (sound matches with lips) seems to depend on the source. It was a good show. I liked Janet, the administrator-type lady.
