Nice to see a top 10 list without Citizen Kane. I know, all those thousands of critics can’t be wrong, but I guess I just didn’t get it.
I woulda put Unforgiven in the top 10. And Fargo.
If the Shawshank Rebellion is as good as the original, I’d give it a spot, too. ;-/

Most Overrated movies of all time:
- Citizen Kane
- The Shawshank Redemption
- The Treasure of Sierra Madre
- Slumdog Millionaire
- The Unforgiven
- Amarcord
- Casablanca
- The Third Man
- Titanic
- Crash
- The English Patient
In no particular order, except that
Citizen Kane is by far the most overrated film ever made.

Yes, Fargo was brilliant. Pretty much anything by the Coens. Also love the quirly Wes Anderson's stuff.

Citizen Kane was the first film to introduce a number of cinematic techniques that are common place today but were revolutionary in its day. They also took on a controversial target much as if somebody did a movie today on George Soros that made him out to be a crude, selfish megalomaniac instead of the Santa Claus for all matter of liberal causes.
It fully deserves to be in the Top 5 by any serious film historian.
