But even so, I have to ask - Are all these yokels trying to tear down all the Confederate monuments telling us that they are really supporting the Republican effort of the first half of the 1860s?

If I was able to, I would defend the North with my life as a Yankee. Contrarily,I will defend keeping the heritage of our country which includes the South. Why is it now that I have such strong feelings for the South? We are inching to another Civil War.
