In the past, the black and mixed-race people I have known who weren’t part of academia always resented any attempt to group race with sexual deviancy. Whether they were for affirmative action/liberal or were more conservative/libertarian, they thought that at best these folks (who never had problems getting remuneration or seats at restaurants) were free riders, but for the most part were a degrading group with which to be associated.
