I will never understand the tattoo fad at all. The irony of his choice of a crucifix and praying hands is sobering.

He didn’t have a prayer.

Stupid should hurt.

Maybe not kill the dummy. But this time it did.

Interesting how in a general, bland MSM article they chose to mention “years of alcohol abuse.”

Must have been quite some abuse...

What will the snowflakes do when the fad dies out and they are stuck with a tattoo that is “so yesterday”?

I didn’t know that tattoos could swim.

The irony of his choice of a crucifix and praying hands is sobering.

Especially when you consider the prohibition on tattoos in the Bible.

Large doses of intravenous vitamin C heals patients with sepsis. Remember that if you have a loved one with sepsis and the doctors tell you they have tried everything. Doctors that have done this have had remarkable success and have substantially reduced the mortality rate..

I will never understand the tattoo fad at all.

I don't get it either. Especially on women. Just looks gross.

Leviticus 19:28 "Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD." (NIV)

The Old Testament practices still have value.

Those praying hands didn’t do much good.

I don’t understand the tattoo fad either. Makes no sense. Most people change their clothes every day and try out new hair styles. That’s hard to do with tats. Once it’s on, it’s on and you’ll pay a hefty price in money and pain if you change your mind.

Per the msm article the infective organism was Vibro. This is the bacterium that gives you cholera. To my knowledge it is not a flesh eating bacteria. Vibro can go systemic and kill you. Per the pics there was necrosis in the area of the initial infection. If this did progress to the classic “flesh eating syndrome” it is no doubt to a weakened immune system.

The classic infection from vibro is via eating contaminated seafood. It then goes systemic and makes you ill or worse. I love raw oysters but no longer eat them. The cost benefit ratio is not worth it.

If you want the best cooked oyster ever made, it is served at Dragos in New Orleans. Follow the link below for the recipe.

The irony of his choice of a crucifix and praying hands is sobering.

...

It was a good choice but the infection probably wiped it out anyway.

There is a Bible scripture against marking the skin. Tatoos look like dreck anyway.

"The irony of his choice of a crucifix and praying hands is sobering."

But he wasn't - sobering, that is. His problem was described as the result of years of alcohol abuse.

I recall when I joined the Navy an old Chief told me, "If you insist on getting a tattoo, get one that reads "Mother."

I understood his message. I decided against getting a tattoo.

What I found disturbing was that my son’s kindergarten teacher wanted to “reward” students who’d done well by inking little “tats” on the backs of their hands or arms. He came home like that only one day; I paid her a quick visit and told her it would not be tolerated again. I also notified the principal of our displeasure.
Both were very apologetic.

From the article:

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), patients become infected by consuming raw or undercooked seafood, or by exposing a wound to seawater.

Every year, when the water starts to warm up,a story like this hits the news. I surf fish/kayak 4-5 times a week and it's just part of fishing.
