A 31-year-old man died after he reportedly ignored warnings about swimming after getting a new tattoo and contracted a flesh-eating bacteria infection in the Gulf of Mexico. The unidentified man, whose case was detailed in the British Medical Journal, had gotten a tattoo on his right calf five days prior to swimming, Metro reported.
The man had chosen a crucifix and pair of praying hands for his latest ink, and began suffering from fever, chills and a rash close to the tattoo after swimming, the news outlet reported. He reportedly developed sepsis in his right calf, which had turned purple by the time he was admitted to the hospital.

Is it related to scurvy?
The Old Testament practices still have value.
I live here on the Gulf Coast, Destin-Ft. Walton Beach, and I don’t go into the water but rarely..............
Those praying hands didn’t do much good.
I don’t understand the tattoo fad either. Makes no sense. Most people change their clothes every day and try out new hair styles. That’s hard to do with tats. Once it’s on, it’s on and you’ll pay a hefty price in money and pain if you change your mind.
The prohibition on tattoos in scripture was made because they were pretty much the province of pagan religions. Much like sacred groves.
Not a good look at any age.
Where in the bible? Have child who wants a tattoo and want to discourage them
Even if one was a non believer you’d still have to noodle that writing out as being a good idea from people who figured some stuff out!
Geez, I of one woman who got booby tats with her teen girls. First, the legal age is 18 in TX and they were younger. Second, one would think the “artist” could have been brought up on charges.

Not just any Vitamin C.
It needs to be Liposomal C.
Per the msm article the infective organism was Vibro. This is the bacterium that gives you cholera. To my knowledge it is not a flesh eating bacteria. Vibro can go systemic and kill you. Per the pics there was necrosis in the area of the initial infection. If this did progress to the classic “flesh eating syndrome” it is no doubt to a weakened immune system.
The classic infection from vibro is via eating contaminated seafood. It then goes systemic and makes you ill or worse. I love raw oysters but no longer eat them. The cost benefit ratio is not worth it.
If you want the best cooked oyster ever made, it is served at Dragos in New Orleans. Follow the link below for the recipe.

They will pay thousands to have them removed.
No, but a doctor in England who went through all the protocol for sepsis and nothing worked and the patients organs shut down attempted a hydro cortisone and massive vitamin C drip and had his patient near death recover. He than had others try the same after last resort antibiotics failed and also had patients recover. Skeptical medical practice has tried to debunk the results saying it is not possible, but the word is getting out and others are having success in trying this protocol when there is nothing else to lose. Worth remembering...
I have no idea what you’re talking about.
I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Fascinating! Truly.
I checked for more reports on this, by different outlets and you are correct in the ‘flesh eating’ vs. ‘vibro’ cause difference.
He was identified as a 31 year-old Hispanic with a 12 bottles of beer a day drinking history.
The photos are from the Daily Mail - gross.
Leviticus 19:28: “’Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.” NIV.
It is proscribed by Jews and Catholics and it can be found in Leviticus 19.
Of course, people ignore that.
