A 34-year-old Lincoln man was arrested for his sixth DUI after passing out on a riding lawn mower late Thursday, according to a court document.
A caller told dispatch an intoxicated man was lying near a lawn mower in the intersection at 10th and Peach streets about 9:30 p.m. The driver, later identified as Ryan J. O'Toole, appeared to have been going south — against one-way traffic — on 10th and had been in the process of turning west on Peach Street when he fell off the mower, the document says.
Officers were able to wake up O'Toole and noted he smelled strongly of alcohol, his speech was slurred and his eyes bloodshot, the document says.

This is why there’s a safety that shuts off the riding lawn mower if the seat is unoccupied.
This guy could help manufacturers test the safety.
There is nothing better than drinking a cold beer after mowing the yard on a hot day, so I’m not sure I can fault the guy. Just saying. ;-)

That is the only time I drink cheap watery beers. I love an ice cold Miller Lite right as I walk in from mowing. A “good” beer is just not as refreshing when it is 95 degrees and humid.
They charged a guy for DUI up in Michigan because he was mowing his ditch next to the road and was drunk doing it. Evidently that 33’ easement each way of center line is close enough for a DUI arrest.
My wife claims to have seen GJ on his lawn mower on 540A in Lakeland, FL, where his estate is still up for sale, when she was much younger; we have to drive by the place on the way to her sister's home.
