I am not trying to debate Joe McCarthy's place in history. Thanks to Ann Coulter's book "Treason", I know he did a lot of good work.
Nevertheless, his name has become associated with fearmongering.
I think in that respect, the time might be right to start speaking to the #fakenews and #fakejournalists those words "Have you no decency?"
Rachel MadMcCarthy, Scott PelMcCarthey, Andrea MitchMcCarthey, etc.

Eggs-actly. Despite his own problems, he was right on. Being compared to him is more of a badge of honor in my book.
Joe McCarthy was trying to root out commies - the “media” is nothing but commies.

McCarthy was “borked”. We shouldn’t dignify the kind of people who routinely “bork” normal Americans with McCarthy’s name.
What would be inaccurate about calling them “lying pieces of crap?”
Go to any mainstream news source, don’t care which it is. CNN, MSNBC, ABC, etc.
How many times has that source said “Trump is incompetent” or had on a guest that said the same or in some way iterated that or a similar message?
How many times has anyone at similar media level called that particular source “not credible”, “fake”, or “inaccurate”.
You’ll let me know when the numbers get to under 300:1.

I believe repeating “The Washington Post is the least believed (sub: credible) newspaper in America” is very important.

Most people today don’t know their history well enough to get what McCarthy was trying to do. They don’t see the subtle difference between documented fact and the gratuitous name calling we hear now from the left. Such discernment would require too much actual thinking. Too much individual effort. Thinking is hard!
