A Spartanburg, South Carolina, mom was arrested after she allegedly hit her 6-year-old son who gave his grandmother a Mothers Day card instead of her.
Shontrell Yurmeish Murphy, 30, hit the child really hard a few times in the back, front, and side of his head on Thursday, the victims sister said in an arrest warrant obtained by WSPA. Responding police were purportedly met by the grandmother and two childrenone of which was crying.
Murphy supposedly told deputies she disciplined her son because he was misbehaving at school and that she didnt strike her son in a hard or in a violent manner. However, the womans 8-year-old daughter told cops that her mom was angry that he didnt make a Mothers Day card for her.

She’s 30 and her son is only 6 years old? Surprised he’s her son instead of her grandson with a name like Shontrell.
Gee, thanks mom.
I knew before I clicked. Of course the name was a dead giveaway...
Finding that guy will be about as easy as finding a condom dispenser in St. Peter's Basilica.
“And I didn’t have to look.”
Me neither. Saw the word “Shontrell”,and moved on.
About the right age for being a Haitian refugee.
I've seen plenty of single mothers who would smack their kids around. This is mostly out of frustration of trying to fill the traditional role of the father. Without the fathers being around, all the kids are going to do is grow up resenting that and seeking out false fathers, i.e. gang members or older men who may take advantage of them later.
Kids growing up without a traditional Mother and Father is the civil-rights of this time, probably after ending abortion.
BOOM !
( Drops da mic ) . . . . .
Dang Soetoro Amish kids again ...
Bet gramma was raising the kids. The ‘mother’ the kids knew.
A very common scenario today.
