Police: ‘Mom’ beats son after grandma gets Mother’s Day card instead of her

A Spartanburg, South Carolina, mom was arrested after she allegedly hit her 6-year-old son who gave his grandmother a Mother’s Day card instead of her.
Shontrell Yurmeish Murphy, 30, hit the child “really hard a few times” in the back, front, and side of his head on Thursday, the victim’s sister said in an arrest warrant obtained by WSPA. Responding police were purportedly met by the grandmother and two children—one of which was crying.
Murphy supposedly told deputies she disciplined her son because he was misbehaving at school and that she didn’t strike her son in a “hard or in a violent manner.” However, the woman’s 8-year-old daughter told cops that her mom was angry that he didn’t make a Mother’s Day card for her.

Was not wondering, did not have to look.
Grandma was raising the boy so he made the card for her. Are we really surprised? Only one really surprised was the person who gave birth to him and was not doing the job of being his mother. She did not earn that card, it’s clear Grandma did.
