Ok, let’s schedule a Sea Recharge Day.
We can hand out straws and have everyone blow bubbles into the water.
And afterwards we can dance around in our flower tiaras and worship gaia as we pretend to be elves and fairies, drinking white wine and screaming in triggered anguish if a hetero man dares to come within 50 yards of our fragile little world.

...As if mortals are more powerful than The Almighty.

Actually, that “O” part of H2O stands for Oxygen. We’re just not equipped with the apparatus necessary to extract it. But as for the main point, funny how marine life seemed to do quite well back in the day when global CO2 (there’s that pesky “O” again, this time in a form available to plants) was several times current levels. In other words ... Shivali, you are so full of shit.

Sounds like a reversion to the Flinstones age. Such a gay old time. :)

50-80% of O2 from the ocean.

Hoax.

In fact, the atmosphere is so short of CO2 that plant life on earth is in danger.

Sarah must have some carbon credits she needs to sell. They get more desperate by the day and the claims get wilder. We couldn’t trust them not to cheat on land based temperature readings but we’re supposed to trust them on ocean temperature and salinity readings? Nope!

The oxygen you breathe is a molecule, O2, made up of two oxygen atoms.

I’ve been in places where the ocean is quite warm: Hawaii, the Mediteranian, Miami Beach, Bermuda, Jamaica, and Maui. The water was so hot that there should have been extreme anoxia. Dead fishes should have littered the beaches and a layer of decayed organic matter should have floated on the surface and washed up on the beach. Instead, the water was so clear, you could see the bottom fish and there was no bad odors. Methinks these scientist should get off the computer, take a vacation from their phony pleas for government grants and take a swim in warm waters.

If oxygen pressure is higher at the surface, it diffuses to lower levels independent of temperature differences.

...but NOT independent of convection, right? And temperature differences would promote convection, right? Water reaches it max. density at 4.5 °C, so heating the uppermost layer of (oxygen-rich) water having a temperature of, say, 1 °C would cause it to sink, no?

The algae in the oceans are like any other green plant....they consume CO2 and produce O2.

Is there any algae in the green ocean?

Yes, but the oxygen in a water molecule, H20, is a single atom.

And ozone (present even in the troposphere, but especially in the ozonosphere) is O3. In the ozonosphere, ozone is found in association with atomic oxygen (consisting only of single oxygen atoms).

All molecules are composed of elements.

...There already isn’t any Oxygen in the water...

This is just plain not true. There is lots of dissolved oxygen in the water. Fish separate it out with gills and do just fine. But, just like fish suffocate out of water, your lungs are not made to process oxygen dissolved in water and you drown in water.
