FULL TITLE: Now United Airlines passengers are being attacked by SCORPIONS! Deadly insect crawls out on flight and forces evacuation
A United Airlines flight was delayed for several hours in Texas after reports of a scorpion crawling out of a passenger's clothes.
Passengers say United Flight 1035 was evacuated on Thursday at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston following the scorpion sighting.
The flight, which was headed for Quito, Ecuador was delayed for three hours.
News of the scorpion incident got out when passengers started tweeting about the ordeal.

Most scorpians are a bit more poisinous than Honey bees.
The hard part is finding them. It doesn’t take much for them to hide.

1001 ways to die or get traumatized on United Airlines. I don’t believe UA is different from any other major airline but everybody is piling on and some passengers are exaggerating their “concerns” to get a rich payday.

The passenger, Richard Bell, was stung when he picked the creature up after it landed on his plate.Idiot deserved to be stung.
Scorpions aren't deadly. We used to have to shake out our shoes before putting them on and check the bathroom as they'd come up the drains.

My first thought. It’s an arachnid. I’ve never seen a 6-legged scorpion, and have been stung by several. Not fun. It’s easily 10x more painful then getting hit by a wasp

Yes, same as if you are allergic to bee stings.
Some scorpions have nastier poisons. They can cause more severe reactions.
I do not handle scorpions carelessly, but they are generally not deadly.
I encountered a fair number in my early years in Yuma.

They sure can be deadly. In the SE US, they’re brown or black and sting like wasps or hornets. But in SW there are white scorpions and they can do you in... in the US you’ll have treatment though.
In Ecuador you can have either.
So, scorpions are no joke. Saying they’re not deadly is like saying snakes are not deadly. They can be.
