This week we dont have Friday the 13th, but Friday the 12th will suffice. King Arthur is looming as a huge box office disaster for Warner Bros. The $150 million Guy Ritchie-directed adventure is getting scathing reviews. Its only registering a 21/100 on Rotten Tomatoes.

Who greenlights this cr@p???
Note to Hollyweird: I would love to go to the movies more often. My offer to go through your slush piles is still open.
Agreed. Excaliber is still the best.
“Wonder Woman and Justice League” should do very well at the box office for Warner Bros. ( <- that “.” is “Dot” /s. “Good Night Everybody”)
You can tell what movies are going to bomb just from hearing a description. You don’t even need to see a trailer. If we can do that, then why can’t the people in Hollywood?
Hollyweird critics giving scathing reviews makes me wonder first if the movie has conservative values. After all, they just canceled Tim Allen’s profitable show because it was conservative.
It’s possible “Arthur” is lousy. I’ll probably read more, though, to see if anything else is going on.
The reason it’s not doing well is obvious now: not enough transsexuals and Muslims.
Now here’s some real entertainment => https://www.youtube.com/user/8thManDVDcom
Hours and hours of Looney Tunes and other cartoon classics.
We saw the movie the dinner and thought it was fantastic.
Rotten Tomatoes gave it a blah.
My wife said she is noticing a pattern, if the cast is predominately straight whites of any political persuasion the movie doesn’t get a great rating. Our 2cents true or not
I concur...perhaps it is a stinker, but I’m not going to rely strictly on the word of Hollywood critics. Arthurian legend was not written as a screenplay, and so it is possible, or perhaps even likely, that strict adherence to the stories may not meet the standards of millenial critics who have never read the literature.
Variety of reasons. Big egos. Tunnel vision. Contempt for their consumers. Peter Principle.
I went to the movies recently. Trailer for this started playing. Audience reactions: booing, laughter (not the good kind), and one WTF.
Excalibur is a great film.
“Guards! Knights! Squires! PREPARE FOR BATTLE!”
Too bad. I thought Charlie Hunnam did a fine job as Jax Teller in the series “Sons of Anarchy”
All trailers do is make me even more sure that (most of) those drug-snorting leftist bozos in Hollywood don’t have a clue how to make movies anymore.
Why that reaction? Was it an audience of dumbunnies or was the trailer hokey?
Folks who are disinclined to eat the cr@p sandwich they're offered are idiots? I don't think you wanna go there. FWIW, I don't like every movie I see. But not all of them are cr@p. Just some of them. The rest just aren't my cuppa (ex: GOTGV2 ). But some, think Ishtar, are just so bad, you wonder how in Hades they ever got made. No one who runs, not walks, away from those is a dumb bunny.
Okay, so you’re saying it’s a bad movie. Couldn’t tell from your earlier comment if you were blaming the audience or the movie. That’s why I asked.
Oh, so you’re saying it was a lousy trailer and the audience reaction was justified, but you’re hoping the actual movie is good.
