On Monday morning, President Trump tweeted, implying Sally Yates could have leaked classified information to the press, just hours leading up to the former Attorney Generals hearing before the Senate.
Trump said, in what appears to be a statement directed at the Senate, that Yates should be asked if she knows how classified information got into the newspapers soon after she explained it to the White House council.

As a 'tax expert' you would advise Trump to make his tax returns public? Do your clients know that?
Would certainly be a pleasant surprise to see a few Obamma and or Clinton stooges go to prison.
Come on man, why is Huma and anthony still running around. Hill & Bill?
And a bucket load of others.
I see that Trump’s tweet has now corrected “Council” to “Counsel”. He really should let someone proof his tweets before he sends them.
Will she plead the fifth when she’s asked her name?
Yes, talking to a Russian ambassador is NOT against the law - but leaking classified information to the press IS against the law... this might get interesting.
Remember when Hillary said he had 'paid no taxes'? And that he wasn't worth as much as he said? If those turn out to be true - and they might be - (while still being totally legal) - Hillary and press goons should be dragged into court and forced to out the IRS agents who leaked private citizen information.
That we have a Republican Congress that is more interested in investigating Trump than Susan Rice and Obama’s spying, tells you all you need to know.
One of the biggest lies the Dems and MSM continue to push. There were never 17 intelligence agencies ( as they claimed ) concluding that top Russian officials helped orchestrate cyberattacks against the Democratic National Committee. Only 2 agencies officially ( Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) ) made a comment on it, and that is not what they said. What they said was that the hacks are consistent with the methods and motivations of Russian-directed efforts. That is NOT the same as saying that Russia is responsible for the hacks. It is the hackers just use the same methods as Russian-directed efforts ( or more accurately - the Russian - directed efforts are using the methods the majority of hackers use worldwide ).
I read both the "report" and the CSV file with their "evidence". There is no evidence at all tying it to Russia. There are a lot of ASSUMPTIONS. They say it is Russian military AND civilian. All the evidence points to Russian civilian and they just include military in it. All their "evidence" is are a few domain names that end in .ru and a list of IP addresses from around the world. 70 percent of those IP addresses are TOR exit points which a majority of the hackers in the world probably use. NOTHING in it points to the Russian government. Another bit of "proof" they use are a list of hacker names. They say that these names are other names used by the Russians. They base this on that they used the same techniques as the "Russians". Well, yeah, every hacker ( and this includes the Russians ) in the world are going to be using the latest techniques, thus they will be using the "same techniques" . That does not make a hacker a Russian agent. What makes it even more laughable that the Russians were involved is the malware used is 7 years old. There are updated versions of that malware as late as this year. I am sure the Russians would use a 7 year old piece of malware instead of the current version. If a Russian Intelligence agent actually had used a 7 year old malware to "hack", he would have been scheduling himself for a "suicide" the next morning with 2 gunshots to the head.
We’ll know in an hour. Right now it’s Asia-Pacific .mil readiness and KJU.
Trump has nothing to be nervous about. Dumb comment.
Thank you.
Comey refuses to answer whether he briefed 0bama on Flynn.
Since you appear to be a libertarian, then maybe you meant Yates seems nervous. Oh well maybe next time.
You WISH! LOL!
A Tweet like that means ONE thing, and ONE thing only: Trump already KNOWS the answer to the question, and he’s set up the Senate to expose that answer under oath. That either happens, or the Senate waffles, and future primary election targets self-identify.
Somebody give Trump a Stradivarius; he’s proven he can play.
Those require 'ONE WEIRD TRICK!'
As a retired CPA with a lot of courtroom experience, I totally agree with you. There are many reasons for not disclosing a tax return including professional competitor advantage reasons.
I also believe that Lois Lerner should have been prosecuted to the full extent of the law as it appears that what she did was cut & dry illegal.
Trump still needs to do Treasury Department house cleaning.(Swamp Draining)
“professional competitor advantage”
Agreed. I’ve always thought that the ‘release your taxes’ fools were/are water carriers for an entity(ies) that wants advantages of their own.
Can’t argue with that. How many republicans do you think are on the side of the dems besides McCain and Graham? Probably not a fair question because all of the GOPe is. Likely the only good people left are in the House Freedom Caucus and they only number around 29 or so.
What a strange hot mess. Here we have repub Prez and both houses for the first time in a decade and they can’t work together long enough to tie shoelaces.
No wonder so many people just want to flush the entire (full) turd bowl and start all over again. I wonder if this is why Chafetts (sp) is getting out. I know he crossed over to the GOPe a long time ago from the freedom caucus but maybe it has just gotten so bad he can’t find a way for his conscience to deal with it.
That kind of snake pit does tend to run the good people off.
Two-minute warning for Yates & Clapper
I get what you’re saying and to a large extent I agree. But my point was that the audit was his “excuse” and that’s not a good one.
If his reasoning is any of the suggestions you make for example, then why not just say that? It gives the impression that he has something to hide. He should simply say - I pay tons of taxes, I pay every penny I’m legally obligated to pay, I do so under the tax system Congress created which needs to be fixed and that’s that.
Because now.... if the audit ends, he’ll have no reason not to release everything right? And he sets himself up for even more aggravation.
