As Hillary continues her Excuse Tour I am always reminded of the collapse seen 'round the world. For me this was the turning point, the wake up call. After the reelection of Obama I figured America was doomed, the fix was in, this was our last chance etc. So I just started tuning out on America's decline. Figured i couldnt do much more than just bend over and take it. Then Hillary became the Uniparty's chosen candidate and while I loved Trump and would be voting for him I knew democracy was dead and he would merely be playing the role of the losing Republican candidate.
Then the collapse occurred and suddenly I was jolted from my apathetic slumber. I felt hope and smelled a lot of blood in the water. The sleeping giant, silent majority also awoke and everyone really started paying attention. Despite the despicable attempts by the media to lie and cover up, the public started actively seeking and learning the awful truth about Hillary through Wikileaks, blogs, talk radio which of course caused the media to come up with the term FAKE NEWS to describe anything which does not fit their narrative. (this is now backfiring on them nicely) even more people became more outraged and disgusted with the democrat/media complex which naturally led to even more lies and coverups. Meanwhile support for Trump was grpwing in numbers and enthusiam.
So was the collapse possibly the salient event that turned the tide and may have changed the course of history?
And it was one smartphone away from never seeing it.

Watch them: always resting spread out on her coat or pants, and if pointing she points with her index finger while clutching the other fingers in a fist. The collapse barely registered. The MSM talked about it briefly, and after that it was under the rug. She “powered through” it, and that was the end of it.

Even though his words were dismissive, there was a certain look in his eye. To me, the look said, ‘If you try to blow this minor incident out of proportion, it will prove that Trump supporters are mean, low, cheap-shot haters—just like Trump.’
There are times even now, with so many alternative media outlets, when the MSM still matters. This was one of them.

Democrats I knew who ‘switched’ to Trump did it after the ‘deplorable’ comment that was on top of screwing over Bernie.
The MSM covered for wikeleaks stuff etc. - mentioning those hits primarily to deny them. Same with the classified stuff - the press treated it like it was ‘no big deal’.
But they couldn’t do that with the deplorable comment... and it spread like wildfire. The press was unable to pretend it was “too complicated” for mere citizens to understand. That’s why the witch lost... she talked to the gay group she was addressing as if the rest of us would not hear what she was saying about us.

The MSM still controls the daily narrative and in turn controls many of our so called conservative politicians.
To think it was Hitlary voters who invented the smart phone.
We don’t have to argue. There were polls cobducted. People were far more put off by her basket of irredeemable deplorables comment than by the collapse.
The average voter didn’t study the side of beef video the way you and I did. They accepted the dehydration excuse and moved on.
Having one of two candidates call half the country irredeemable and deplorable went deeper. For whatever reason, voters don’t like it when major candidates write off large swaths of the country. Recall that Romney’s comment about the 37% (or whatever the number was) hurt him badly. People just don’t like that approach.
I hadn’t seen your comment when I posted. Agree totally, however. Hillary really rubbed voters the wrong way with that smarmy, condescending remark.
