This teen really is a teen. So look for the BLM activists to start in soon.
Dogs were heard barking.
And they feared for their lives...
A CCW peasant would have been in the pokey before the shells cooled on this one.
And lets see if he, driver, and others had alcohol. Were they really threatening officers or was officer trigger happy? Dash cam and other cameras likely will tell the story. And if they were just yelling profanities at the kids, did that drive in fear, not realizing it was the police cussing them out. What were they doing out at 11 p.m.? No family curfew? (Okay, I date myself as we had 9 p.m. school nights and 10 p.m. on weekends...). Hopefully everyone gets answers before they blow this all out of proportion.
He was just turning his life around?
Cope should have just gotten out of the way. Stupid.
Perhaps. Just because a lawyer says it or a reporter writes it doesn't make it so, of course. He was hanging out at a party where there was underage drinking going on and some of the party goers were of the type that would bring guns. I'm not saying this wasn't a bad shoot, but I won't be surprised if we find out there is more to this story.
Oh, there is always shooting going on at night in this part of Dallas, especially on Mayday eve.
The person who wrote this article should be in jail for journalistic malpractice.
The headline is deliberately misleading.
The first sentence is deliberately misleading.
But this is the NY Daily News, a leftist rag written for people incapable of understanding sentences of more than 2 words.
Designed to cause riots in the streets.
Here comes big Al.

The original article states he was shot with a rifle.
You can put the address where it happened in Google street view.
12300 Baron Drive Balch Springs.
Older neighborhood. Couches in driveways.
And 2 exits. Why was the driver backing towards the cops instead of heading the other way?
If he was so smart why was he out hanging with thugs on a school nite?
So if the theory is that the police officer was trying to stop the car by shooting at the driver (which by the way is banned by policy in many jurisdictions in the absence of a danger from a weapon other than the vehicle itself), it sounds as if he missed.
Terrible...
Sorry for the family...
Yeah, OK.
This is real trouble for the police here. Surely they could have tried shooting out the tires first. The cop didn’t try to shoot the kid; he just shot at the car and it hit this kid.
AWho knows, just watched Boys in the Hood yesterday.
