Doggie downers? No wonder fido has been taking lots of naps. Then again thats what dogs do.
To: Morgana
Maybe they’re using euthanized dogs in their food.

The retailer is from Texas. The real question is - was it made in China?

So they are grinding up the bodies of euthanized animals and feeding them to our pets

Does this mean euthanized animal carcasses were used in the production of the feed, or was the drug directly added? Either is bad. Very bad.

Exactly. Nowdays ALL dead animals are referred to as protein. Companies make rounds of Veterinary clinics and pick up deceased animals and take them to a rendering plant where they are boiled down and turned into dog food.

A mistake like this just doesn't "happen" No. In case you don't know, the cheapo pet foods use rendered euthanized pets, roadkill, and deceased zoo animals in their crappy products. That's surely where this drug trace came from. And that is why I only feed my cats premium foods like Wellness, Natural Balance, and Solid Gold. Costs more because it's real meat, not rendered dead things.

Did not know this. Only pet ever had to euthanize took home and had to cremate in back yard because he had Feline AIDS.
Tell me do most “store brands” do this? Thought they bought from the name brands and just put their name on it. You know like Wal Mart, K mart and they just bought from Purina and called it “Special Kitty” or what ever.
