FULL TITLE: Now United's killing fluffy bunnies! Son of the world's biggest rabbit dies on United flight. Huge three foot bunny arrives in Chicago dead in 'strange' circumstances
Beleaguered United Airlines faces fresh controversy after a 'fit and healthy' giant rabbit died in the cargo hold of one of its flights.
Simon, a ten-month-old 3ft continental giant rabbit, was on track to outgrow the world's biggest rabbit - his 4ft 4in dad, Darius.
But Simon's devastated owner Annette Edwards from Stoulton in Worcester claims he died in the cargo hold of a flight from Heathrow Airport to Chicago O'Hare International Airport.

That was a lot of hossenfeffer!
United - ‘Cause everyone has to go sometime.
Got me tagline from it, I did.
Stress and being frightened in a cold cargo bay can kill a rabbit quickly.
I would never put any animal of mine in a cargo hold, especially a rabbit.
You know, was thinking the same thing.
Agreed. High metabolism. They can easily be scared/stressed to death.
“Cook! That hassenfeffer was raw take it back!”

ROFL!!!!
I’ve heard all those words used by my Jewish friend but never all in one sentence :)
I’ve had a few friends of the Hebrew persuasion over the years. one of them taught me a bit of Yiddish.

Every cargo area is pressurized. Depending on the aircraft type some are heated and some are not. They also have fire detection and extinguishing.
How f’nn stupid. Story and all.
That is one Hugh rabbit!
Don’t order any meals on United for at least a week.
Reminds me of the old joke about several U.S. planes taxing for takeoff at an airport when the first one (name made up), United Planes called the tower to report a dead deer on the runway and asked the tower to warn the following planes to avoid it.
The new plane, Friendly Skies, upon receiving the warning from the tower replied, “Message received. We have already notified our chef and he’s on the way to get it”.
She should have paid the insurance demanded by the sin-dicate.
Was the reason I posted this. There is the bunny of death?
I raise rabbits- they can live through huge amounts of stress- or simply keel over dead for no visible reason.
