Thanks, KC!
He was suicided, these other things are “side benefits”.
Street justice was carried out.

I sometimes think of my sister and the good times we had as kids, but then remember... Can't imagine. My sympathies to you.
What I was thinking of this guy, with his strength, is that he must have hung there and fought that sheet or rope or cord or whatever for a long time. A terrible end to a life he ended up living terribly.
To: Alas Babylon!
I’m sorry AB, I hope they find the ****er some day or that he will or God willing already has, died horribly himself.

For real? WOW.
That gives his family major motive for murder, and gives great motive for suicide too I guess.

I hope the family of the man he killed sues his estate for wrongful death.

Blamed it on his buddy who was with him at the bar.

So you get to watch people being tortured in Hell from Heaven?
That wouldn’t be miserable or anything.
I think it’s a parable.

What a deceptive headline...sounds like something Red England advocate Buster Olney would write for ESPN. Spit.

I can’t imagine a worse fate than spending the rest of my life in prison. I have a colleague who is doing just that. I don’t know how he gets through each day.

Again, per the dean of the law school:
Yep.
And the civil suit(s) can/will proceed.
Again, he was too much of a narcissist to off himself. He was dealt with...the side “benefits” are fallout. They wanted his ass and got it.
It is also being reported that the Pounsey (sp?) brothers, who play in the NFL, paid Jose Baez (who also successfully defended Casey Anthony) for Hernandez’s defense.

Well well well...that’ll be interesting to tell my DH, Steeler nut.

Common usage changes things. I personally would prefer that the past perfect of "awake" were "awakened" instead of "awoken." Feel free to correct punctuation, misconceptions, syntax, etc. I only have an ancient B.S. (total of 200+ semester hours) so I don't know about that stuff. Beyonce claims that "bootylicious" is in the dictionary. That bothers me. Then again she bothers me. I figure that this is late enough in the thread that the hijacking issue won't raise its ugly head. I need to get out more.

As a rabid Pats fan I always wondered about his tattoos while he was playing.Turned out to be a garden variety psychopath who had some athletic talent.
To: Gay State Conservative
They knew about his gang ties when he played at UF.

Hijacking this thread for purposes of a discussion of proper grammar and best usage? HERE? On FR?
Unimaginable!
Never been done!

I autocorrect children’s authors when reading aloud to my children. Publishers and editors certainly aren’t laboring to uphold any decent standards for the written language, and — given the copyright dates of some of the books I’ve been reading — haven’t been interested in doing so for quite some time; perhaps not in this century.

And if he was a honky like me, how much of this crap do you think would hold true ?
