The first lady arrived in West Palm Beach Thursday on a government aircraft – the military version of a Boeing 757, about 6:30pm, just minutes before her husband landed on Air Force One.
Vice President Mike Pence took the same plane Melania used to a conference in Munich earlier this year.
The first lady lives at Trump Tower with her and the president's son, Barron, whose private school in New York is off this week for spring break.
The per-hour cost of operating the plane is $15,846, meaning the total trip cost was at least $100,000.

For one thing, I haven't heard that any of Trump's security people at Mar-A-Lago have openly said they wouldn't take a bullet for Trump. Several SS people, have publicly said that, and for every one who says it, how many others think the same way but keep it to themselves?
I also think he can relax and be himself more when he's at his own place which is important when he's making deals or thinking things through.

Your bit about “enormous planes” is dead on target. Mooch would usually go on a 757 while Ebola would go on a 747. OTOH, if one of us mere taxpayers flies from Atlanta or Chicago to Sacramento CA, the plane’s almost always a 737 or an Airbus A-320.

The UK Daily Mail is a mixed bag. They often have good reporting on stories the US media brushes aside, but more often than not, they are a source of tabloidish crap that smells of steak and kidney pie, and this story is one of them.
