NASA reveals Saturn's moon Enceladus has ALL of the ingredients for life after discovery [tr]

Scientists have found the strongest evidence yet that alien life may exist.

All the building blocks for life have been found for the first time away from Earth, NASA announced – within our solar system.

The hunt for alien life is set to begin on Enceladus, Saturn’s sixth largest moon, after the NASA spacecraft Cassini’s deepest ever dive into its cracks found hydrogen gas.

This hydrogen is now said to be ‘a potential source of chemical energy that could support microbes on the seafloor of Enceladus,’ the researchers revealed during a NASA press conference today.

Need to send a probe that can scoop up the water that erupts from under Enceladus' ice covering.

Life exists, without artificial support, on earth and nowhere else. Prove me wrong.

Enceladus are awesome, you can make ‘em at home and achieve proper meat and cheese ratios.

They keep saying “building blocks for life”.
That gives the impression that one can put these “blocks” together and construct life, as you would with Lego blocks.
No. Components found in living beings are also found in non-living beings.
However, it’s worth giving it a look!

What’s kinda comical is that the universe is stuffed with the building blocks of life, but someone has to put them together and breathe life into them for there to be life.

And like you said, there is only one place we know that has happened.

They’re talking about mold and one celled things... not ‘life’ as we think of it. ‘Grant pimping’...

There was a dog of a Sci-Fi movie - college students under a rug, crawling about and devouring people - that had a gem of an idea that was used in real life years later.

At the end, the hero goes into the spacecraft (loaded with WWII surplus electronics) and discovers that the "monster" was just a living sampling device - dissolving humans to see what kind of life existed on Earth.

Years later I read that the Mars explorer was scooping up soil, dissolving it to find if any microbes existed (they didn't).

All the ingredients, huh?

Yesterday I put mayonnaise, tabasco, garlic salt, a hard boiled egg and tuna in a bowl. I watched it and nothing happened.

Then I added purposeful intelligent energy into it and lo and behold – delicious tuna salad!

...

Can’t.

And life on Earth isn’t all that abundant when using an objective measure like the mass of living things compared to non-living mass.

Well, I can't prove you wrong, nobody can, unless some form of life is found elsewhere.

However, there are hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of different lifeforms on earth. Whether you believe these all came from the same prehistorical soup or whether you believe God created life on earth, it seems to me the answer is the same.

If from a prehistorical soup, the conditions had to be just right, but then developed into the life we have today. If the conditions were just right here then they can be just right elsewhere.

If from God, I would expect Him to create life in other places as well as here on Earth since there are many different lifeforms here..

I believe that God created the heavens and the earth, and there are many, many planets and/or moons of planets that have life, but I can't prove it.

There’s already proof. Mars rocks contain bacteria evidence.

Leave it out in the sun for a few hours and all manner of life will erupt.

I disassembled a watch and piled the pieces on the ground. Any time now they will assemble into a watch, which is probably a trillion times less complex than any cell in your body.

C’mon - “life” is simple.

Just mix dirt & water, throw in a few lightening storms, then wait a few billion years and - viola!
