The fight would have likely lasted slightly longer if it involved a Army, Marine or Navy SEAL. These units are trained in traditional hand-to-hand combat. A soldier, Marine or SEAL would have still knocked this knucklehead out.

If “the fight was designed as a test”, is it really fair to call the guy chosen from for it from the “Peruvian Special Forces” a “thug”? He’s not some drunk who jumped the first guy he saw in an American uniform at a coffee shop.

And a SEAL or marine might have done more permanent damage as the Green Beret was happy to disable him for a while.

“dance based martial arts”? That could be a reference to Brazilian ju jitsu. The Brazilian slaves needed a combat form, but they put it into a dance so their masters would not initially suspect what they were doing.
