A Massachusetts man whose hand was cut off by a machete during a fight has had it reattached, and authorities say the suspect has been ordered held without bail.
The Sun reports that police responded to a Lowell public housing project Wednesday night. Prosecutors said officers at first found only the hand because the victim ran away screaming.
His family told authorities the hand was reattached at a hospital.

Machetes have joined SUVs and guns as being self-aware dealers of evil.
Time to make anti-machete laws to keep them from doing bad things.
Weapon of choice for the amigos. Any time you read about a crime involving a machete, it involves amigos.

The machete is dangerous. The man wielding it might be a victim of accidentally having his hand in too close a proximity to the handle of the aforementioned machete during an inopportune timeframe.
