Hey, Freedom Caucus blow your no vote out your hypocritical @#%es
Me

Posted on 03/24/2017 9:56:23 PM PDT by WhatNot

The same people who just voted no on Paul Ryan's bill because it wasn't "conservative" enough, are the same people who voted to make Paul Ryan speaker of the House. Why?

Was Ryan more conservative back then, then he is today? Did Ryan promise them something, in order to get their vote. Or is the FC just a bunch of hypocrites. I think honest people know the answer.

Huh? You have been on FR since 2008, and have not yet figured out that a large portion of the Republican Party elite is GOP-e(e!), is beholden to the same lobbyists and special interests as most of the Dems, and at best wants a sort of ObamaCare Lite, or, as you called it, ObamaCare 2.0?

It was easy for the GOP-e to vote against ObamaCare up until now, because they knew it was for show, and Obama could veto their bill, if it even made it through the Senate. Otherwise the House Pubs would have, as ‘ol Hannity put it, “used the power of the purse.” They never did, even tho’ a number of Freedom Caucus members supported just that. The “FC” just doesn’t have the numbers to do much more than throw a monkey wrench into something like RyanCare.

Still... It seems to me that the FC miscalculated: I suspect they thought that “not squawking too loudly” up until the bill was first made public, and then pushing for changes, was the best bet. With 20/20 hindsight, perhaps what they should have done was spend the last couple years crafting a bill of their own, and then spend about 30 million dollars to promote their plan. (A very good, well known spokesman would help, too. Maybe Rudy G., IF he’d agree to do it.) Or, “sell it” to Trump right after the election.

FC does not have the numbers to knock out Ryan. Not by a long shot.

Now, if they can discredit him, they might have a chance. But, even if that succeeded, then who might get the position? Not likely a FC member...

Tonight in the eyes of the American public the people they just put into office to run the whole show, look like a bunch of dimwits, stooges and nincompoops.

And that is different than almost any other night how?

Sheesh..you dont even know what he is talking about.

Not only should it be allowed..it should be tax deductible for the self employed..

If it qualifies for obamacare then it should have been considered as if it is healthcare for tax deductions

According to Louis Gohmert...

So, I'm guessing we'll see Mr. Gohmert's repeal bill come to a floor vote next week ?

Know what? Trump and ryan have always been opposition. Trump needs congress so it was not in his best interest to oppose the speaker; better to let him fail on his own.

I would love a clean repeal. But, I’m not sure that can be done. The monster has its tentacles burrowed into every aspect of our lives. Pull out one piece over here and something collapses over there.

And there would be an interim term with a number of people left uninsured.

Obamacare was built to be as repeal-proof as possible.

THIS. Never get in the way of your opponent when he is self destructing.

Good discussion, thanks for sticking your neck out.

My 2 cents, having learned from all these posts:
- Ryan duped the FC into being Speaker. If he promised this bill when he ran for Speaker, no way he’d get in.
- Trump may be letting Ryan implode and letting Obamacare implode. Nothing this man does, except for some old locker room talk, is without genius. He knows his timeline is out to 2018 then 2020.
- His bigger items are immigration, trade, and taxes - maybe he needs Ryan out
- The FC will have bills ready. Popular bills. Let Schumuckie filibuster. And deal with a 35-65 minority in 2019.

Hows about some here pick up a book on playing long ball for change and quit this impulsive garbage.

Trump knew exactly who and what Ryan, and a large part of the RINO groups were because of their actions long before he even announced his candidacy for POTUS.

I will go back to what I feel the real reason he decided it was time for him to get into the swamp and drain it. As a businessman, we all know he played the game the politicians set for he and any other businessman had to maneuver and feed in order to get anything significant done. Along the way, he played the biggest hand they dealt him, had the winning hand and then they changed the deck in the middle of the hand. In essence, somebody or somebodys screwed him royally while he was playing by their rules.

Now, hearken back to Ryan and the rest during the primary, after the primary, into the convention, after the convention, and even into just a few weeks until the election.

Trump is out to kill not only the ruling political class, but also the ruling political media. If you ever had any thought he assumed he would just waltz in and turn over the apple cart without them noticing, then you are a prime product of your own illusions. He was going to have to minimize them before he could effectively get anything meaningful done, and by doing so now, it will get accomplished in a real roll up the sleeves way and stay at work until it is accomplished. Contrary to the stupid way the entire establishment tries to drag everything out essentially getting nothing accomplished, other than getting their pockets and trusts filled with graft from lobbyists.

As for the Freedom Caucus, they were initially against Ryan to be speaker because of his history of being a snake and globalist. When Trump gave his approval, they did come into line for the sake of the vision of moving Trump’s agenda forward.

Now we step back after a day and we see two breaking news headlines in the sidebar of rumblings already starting on Ryan’s loss of standing within the party as Speaker. His own arrogance of the process of crafting this with his benefactors and like minded carnival seals licking his feet along the way, has brought him down and Trump knows this. As for his speech yesterday where he mentions Ryan, take that to the bank just as Flynn did just a few hours before he was ordered to submit his resignation.

>So then you think that the Dems are more likely to cut deals than conservatives.

In this case? Yes. Trump cannot give the conservitive base a full repeal of Obamacare at this time because there isn’t 60 GOP votes in the Senate. By refusing to compromise and asking for the impossible the FC is only hurting the country our brand. On the other hand the majority of them dems and a few republicans would jump at single payer and stop the bleeding from Obamacare.

>Wrong. He knows his BASE/voters do NOT want single payer.

Another couple of years of Obamacare and most voters will go for anything over Obamacare. People are being literally killed by premiums and deductibles under it.

The Govt can screw us with POS laws but those who are principled get demonized for trying to change it. Let the lieberals dance and chant their celebratory ‘victory’. Nothing has changed as the train races to a wreck. Only fools celebrate paths to destruction as their reward.

The Trump Administration should embark on a governmental education effort that notifies the public that the increased cost of health care premiums are due to the Imperfections inherent in the ObamaCare Law and that his Administration is working on eliminating them. An informative description should be made available to the public demonstrating the reasons for the need for modifications/elimination to ObamaCare.
Trump administration needs to get out front of the MSM Fake News on the subject.

What ever nic-picky little details people wanted included in the bill in order to support it, will never see the light of day now.

The FC and their supporters fully owns Odummy care and all it's evil fall out, lock, stock and barrel.
