The same people who just voted no on Paul Ryan's bill because it wasn't "conservative" enough, are the same people who voted to make Paul Ryan speaker of the House. Why?
Was Ryan more conservative back then, then he is today? Did Ryan promise them something, in order to get their vote. Or is the FC just a bunch of hypocrites. I think honest people know the answer.
And miss out on you flipping? Never.
The House Freedom Caucuss stated purpose is to give a voice to countless Americans who feel that Washington does not represent them. Yet as one senior aide to a member of the House Freedom Caucus explained, Many members of the Freedom Caucus never opposed Ryans positions on trade and immigration the way their constituents do. So theyre more than happy to ignore and cast aside the policies that got Trump elected in exchange for going along with the Ryans policies.
At a certain point, were going to have to change our groups name from the House Freedom Caucus to the Paul Ryan Caucus, the aide told Breitbart.
I am referring to the accommodation under ACA for folks who want to voluntarily join a health share ministry instead of buying insurance. So you know nothing about healthshare?
Trump supported RyanCare.
The Freedom Caucus opposed RyanCare.
It was kabuki theatre designed to torpedo Trump. These AHOLES had more than enough time to get their sh!t together. They didn’t.
No clue who was pushing Trump to go along with Ryancare. My guess is Pence & Preibus.
It was to be keeping the essential parts of obamacaare, renaming it, and removing a lot of the funding for it while keeping the really expensive parts intact. I suspect that the Republicans are as avid for Single Payer as are the Democrats. Converting a slowish crumbling to a rapid collapse would set up the “demand” for Single Payer that Ryan and the rest of them would be happy to present to Donohue and the CofC.
Now, are you trying to tell me that the Ryan bill was going to outlaw those "Christian" health programs? Really?
P.S.- Where did all these Obamcare fans come from? They seem to want to keep it, just rename it and jigger and tweak a bit so it will be "Our" Obamacare.
But you know what? I didn’t vote for Paul Ryan as speaker of the House. Your beloved Freedom Caucus did that. The lousy hypocrites.
All of this great government medicine is providing opportunities for the more highly skilled and enterprising physicians to get their offshore clinics established. That is what happened in Britain and then in Canada. The best went offshore, the English to India and Thailand, the Canadians to Thailand and some to Central America. A few moved across the border to the USofA and will now either retire or move on to more healthful climes.
Repeal Obamacare are in its entirety, then start creating a real working solution.
Wrong, they are not NeverTrumpers to the core.
Majority of Freedom Caucus Supported and/or Endorsed Trump (10 early supporters prior to convention, plus 7 after GOP convention).
3 gave tepid support, 3 unsure, and 5 AntiTrumpers...
Don’t believe me? read ...http://heavy.com/news/2017/03/who-are-the-members-of-house-freedom-caucus-list-of-representatives-do-not-support-health-care-bill-donald-trump/
From what I heard, they are not bankrolled by Koch brothers. Koch said they would support them after Trump threat to primary them. Not the same thing.
If you actually research before making statements as facts, please provide proof that they were all bankrolled by Koch prior to the 2016 election. I would do it for you again, however, it is late and I already researched your first statement.
Trump repeatedly said Mexico will pay for the wall, so cost should not be an issue...
Bet you a dollar Ryan promised to repeal Obamacare when he became speaker. He lied. Freedom caucus is right here. They didnt support a crap sandwich of a bill that was written in back rooms to please the insurance lobby. Why wasnt the caucus invited to help craft the bill? It was a Rovian sham.
A lot of people said a lot of things, big deal. Tonight in the eyes of the American public the people they just put into office to run the whole show, look like a bunch of dimwits, stooges and nincompoops.
You cant govern by being a purist.
Ruan did not look at any truly innovative programs like the Atlas practice in Kansas City. Ryan also wanted to PAY FOR ILLEGALS’ health insurance...
Ryan cut and paste this bill from his “Better Way Program” (which he rolled out as a counter agenda to Trump’s plans during the campaign).
Ryan rushed this bill through initially stating it was a “binary choice” allowing no input.
The FC were not being purist to oppose it. It was a lousy bill.
I highly doubt Mark Levin, a radio commentator with a dwindling audience, made a difference in their vote. However, speaking of radio commentators, Sean Hannity thought the bill was a turd and felt that all groups should have had input before a public rollout. I agree and think it is disingenuous to blame them for bill’s failure.
Your hyperventilating plays right into the hands of our real enemies.
Besides, how is passing a bill that is opposed by at least 3/4 of the people a good idea, politically speaking?
All, or almost all of us here, are on basically the same side. It’s time to get to work, and revisit this later, not bash each other’s heads in.
How would Ryancare have impacted Christianshare?
Are you saying you prefer to keep Obamacare to get some sort of special exemption?
What will you do if there were a total repeal?
‘The Freedom Caucus did not endorse Ryan for Speaker.’
True, but they gave Ryan a super-majority of votes for Speaker initially, and even more votes for his reelection. The FC could have stopped Ryan dead following the Boehner debacle, but vote-wise, they were gung-ho behind him.
Absolutely Not! What I am saying is that Ryancare was written by and for insurance companies. It was not well thought out. It ignored things like healthcare sharing ministries and in fact would have made people using them non-compliant which despite being more efficient than insurance companies while performing the exact same function with no government subsidy at all. My family has basically unlimited coverage for far less money than subsidized insurance. Ryancare was a disaster that did not deserve the light of day. Trump himself said that ditching it would make it possible for something “better”. Obamacare needs to be repealed not replaced with a train wreck waiting to happen.
Is the Constitution a thing, or is it not?
Making sausage may not be pretty to watch, but there is no law saying sausage must be made.
