The same people who just voted no on Paul Ryan's bill because it wasn't "conservative" enough, are the same people who voted to make Paul Ryan speaker of the House. Why?
Was Ryan more conservative back then, then he is today? Did Ryan promise them something, in order to get their vote. Or is the FC just a bunch of hypocrites. I think honest people know the answer.
In the meantime, you and your strange bedfellows, the hard core leftists should bask in your tremendous victory over Ryan, President Trump, VP.Mike Pence and the American people, because one day reality is going to sneak up on you, and bite you where it hurts.
I’m never offended.
I am so happy the FC and real conservatives defeated the crap sandwich Ryanocare bill! Now we can move on to an actual repeal of Obamacare followed by negotiations on a true free market solution. Healthshare, voluntary associations, all kinds of different insurance plans, competition, lower premiums. As Trump said, it’s going to be great! We will look forward to your support!
But alert me, next week, if that clean, no strings attached repeal bill hits Trump's desk, I'll pop the champagne corks for you, and admit I was totally wrong about everything.
Yes. Good idea.
You’re notbunderstanding this well
This was a victory
Ryan and the GOPe lost
Why Trump rode along I don’t know
We all voted for George W Bush... does that mean we all supported everything he did, or else we are all hypocrites? Clearly no. A vote of support for an available candidate is not the same as supporting everything they do forevermore, and blindly so. Most of us are not supporting Trump in his very unwise decision to Replace instead of Repeal.
The OP suffers from the perennial freeper illness called CLIT
Current Leader Intoxication Tic
Ryan allowed almost no input outside his team
Speaker can do that
The difference is they knew everything there was to know about Ryan. I wish people would stop making excuses for the inexcusable.Ryu
This thread is representative of the GOP, all the energy is focused on what is wrong with those who don’t agree with your vision of the issue instead of writing a plan to git it done!
Meanwhile Americans still life and die under the Obamacare mess.
If the GOP had passed a real repeal and replace plan that brought competition into the market Trump would have signed it.
Letting ACA explode is a massive failure on the GOP’s part as people will suffer because of their inability to stop being asshat politicans instead of just doing as tyey pretended and promising they would do for last 7 years.
I heartily disagree and time will tell.
Ryan allowed almost no input outside his team
Speaker can do that
The Freedom Caucus are about the ONLY TRUE Conservatives left in the House that actually have a spine, and it is THEY who saved our bacon from JustAsBadAs0bamacare 2.0!! And it is about time for Freepers to STOP treating them as the enemy!!
.. AND further cementing the tentacles of 0bamadoesn'tcare into the Federal system!
I just can't believe how STUPID some Freepers and other Conservatives are elsewhere around the web that want to blame the Freedom Caucus when they are the ONLY ones that stood for those of us who want to be FREE of 100% of 0Bolacare!
OH! And Paul RINO LIED to EVERYONE!!! It does NOT take "60 votes" in the Senate to fully repeal 0'care, and it does NOT take 3 phases! The same morons that believed that there would ever be another 2 phases! Paul RINO has a bridge over the desert to sell them.
“Why? So when Odummy care explodes and becomes the catalyst (or excuse) for a 2nd great depression, causing untold destruction to millions of my fellow Americans, I can at least take comfort in knowing that Paul Ryan finally got his comeuppance.
Sorry, I’m not one of your financial collapse cheerleaders looking forward to when the American economy falls apart.”
It’s not going to cause that. I heard this crap all throughout the Bush Administration and then when Boehner was the speaker. I remember hearing that we needed to pass Bush’s amnesty in 2007, because the Democrats were going to pass it when they won in 2008.
News flash! If you believe that big government, pro- open borders, pro- "pathway to citizenship B.S." Paul RINO and his bunch that you put all of your hopes and dreams into will EVER give you an immigration Bill that you hoped Trump would bring, you are just as delusional about that as you are that the Freedom Caucus just did you wrong.
But yeah .. Paul RINO was going "to get it done with phase two and phase three." SMDH
Exactly! The Dims will NEVER give Trump ANYTHING! They will live out the next four years believing that they've finally "got the goods" on Trump for his impeachment and that they will then install "Killery in the WH where she belongs" (because the average Dim idiot on the interwebz actually believes this). Trump is only saying this because he is all about leverage and making Republicans in Congress feel that they will be left out ("Art of the Deal" .. it's in his book).
That's because Paul RINO and his merry band of RINO dummies were busy meeting with insurance company lobbyists who were actually writing the Bill. That was eventually locked behind closed doors in the basement where no one was allowed to take a camera or other device (hmmmm .. sounds like "we have to pass it so that you can find out what is in it" to me ..).
But yeah .. according to a lot of dummies around here, Ryan was still "the good guy" and the Freedom Caucus are just a bunch of DimocRAT-loving bastards that forever ruined their lives.
Trump isn't the dummy that (apparently) some of the people that are saying nonsense like that think he is, just because "he's not an ideologue." He is WELL aware of the absolute FAILure of the entitlement programs and programs like Medicare are. Almost $200TRILLION in unfunded liabilities!
Good lord, even Killery admitted to her sheeple that we would never go single-payer, even if she were (God forbid) to become President.
35 to 40 true conservatives, who of course, when it came time to vote for the biggest RINO to ever come down the pike, stood by their deeply held “conservative” principles, their high lofted righteousness, sterling character and right minded ideals and abstained from casting their yea vote for that evil Ryan. Right?
