Hey, Freedom Caucus blow your no vote out your hypocritical @#%es
Me

Posted on 03/24/2017 9:56:23 PM PDT by WhatNot

The same people who just voted no on Paul Ryan's bill because it wasn't "conservative" enough, are the same people who voted to make Paul Ryan speaker of the House. Why?

Was Ryan more conservative back then, then he is today? Did Ryan promise them something, in order to get their vote. Or is the FC just a bunch of hypocrites. I think honest people know the answer.

There was no other candidate who was going to get the votes. It was a reluctant consensus to let Ryan win. I felt the same way. There was no other realistic option. I wish there was but we can’t force others to run.

Ok, fair enough, why didn’t they at least shake their NO VOTE fist in the air then, when it would have done the most good?

Ryan did not allow anyone significant input into “his better way bill”. He acts as dictator. The FC was told what to do by Ryan the insurance companies’ good friend. Rand Paul has a bill which meets all the promises that Trump and the GOP made to get elected. Use that.

I did not vote for Obamacare lite. At least submit the same repeal they sent Obama, but then it might pass and RINO would hate that.

You should be happy the bill was defeated.

Why? So when Odummy care explodes and becomes the catalyst (or excuse) for a 2nd great depression, causing untold destruction to millions of my fellow Americans, I can at least take comfort in knowing that Paul Ryan finally got his comeuppance.

Sorry, I'm not one of your financial collapse cheerleaders looking forward to when the American economy falls apart.

George Orwell said “Truth is treason in an empire of lies.”

Don’t be taken in by establishment types. Freedom Caucus members had to have strong spines to stop Obamacare Lite. They were under a lot of pressure from D.C. but not their voters. This was a voter’s victory. If this bill had passed, we would have been sick at the lack of positive change from Republicans.

However, I am concerned the RINOs will cross the isle and make things worse. The question is who will have Trump’s ear?

Ryan is looking more like an empty suit ‘conservative’. He is afraid of debate.

he really dangerous part of his this went down is the possibility that Trump might go for single payer with the dems now that the FC has proven their inability to compromise. Trump’s not an idolog and life expectancy is dropping due to Obamacare. People are dying and Trump far more likely to cut a deal with the dems to stop the bleeding than to try and cut a deal with people with a proven track record of not cutting deals.

Don’t get me wrong, single payer is a disaster, but at this point it’s a better choice than Obamacare.

It is the logical play and the majority of common people would welcome it, even it it later turns out badly. As much as the majority of people distrust the federal government, they distrust a political gang of 30 or 40 conservatives even more. Republicans should have made a deal among ourselves. It is an epic defeat.

I'm not taken in by anybody, I just understand that I have to live in a real world governed by sinful man. I can't afford to live in POLITICALAND, where everyone gets every nick-picky thing they want in a bill, and all agree on it, and the baby never gets thrown out with the bath water.

This was at least a first step, not great but at least moving in a direction. I see it as Newton's first law. An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion.

Which is why it is called a healthcare bill as opposed to health insurance reform.

I was against the bill, but if I’d known it would inspire yet another insipid vanity, I might have flipped.

I agree entirely. I've only recently returned to reading/posting on FR after a many year hiatus. Many years ago when posting something as the original author, it would be posted at "Vanity", or even sometimes use the "shamelessvanity" keyword. Has that changed?

Yup, nothing like being kept in chains, by a group with “Freedom” in their moniker.

Here's lyin' ryan talking about sending the January 2016 Repeal bill, a bill that he voted for and which passed the Senate and went to homobama's desk, and how he'll send it again once we elect a Republican President

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7aRKhgusi0

lyin' ryan lied. All he had to do was send the same bill they passed a year ago. Just stamp a new date on the thing and vote for it, but no, he is a tool for the cronies. I'm so happy that the GOP's fingerprints aren't attached to the CoC/lobbyist's special edition of homobamacare.

Yeah, and the same group of people voted to repeal Obamacare many times already - when Paul Ryan and the lot of them knew their repeal would have no effect.

Why don't they just put one of those repeal bills up for a vote now? Because they don't want to show how fake and theatrical their supposed opposition to Obamacare was and is.

Most of the Republicans are, in their hearts, in favor of nationalized health care, just like their leftist buddies.

Wasn't Ryan already speaker by this time?

Like I said, don't expect me to believe that the FC members DID NOT KNOW who they were voting for when they cast their vote for Paul Ryan as speaker of the House. They knew full well, WHO and WHAT he was, and yet, they did not raise their sanctimonious NO VOTE fist in the air, back when it really could have helped the country. No, they made darn good and sure to reveal that morally superior facade at the worst possible time and threw me, you and our entire country back to the ravenous wolves.

Lousy FC Hypocrites.

am referring to the accommodation under ACA for folks who want to voluntarily join a health share ministry instead of buying insurance.

A good health care reform bill would remove all restrictions on groups of people forming health cost sharing cooperatives, which is what the health share ministries are. Obamacare severely restricted them, and banned the formation of new health cost sharing cooperatives.

For many years in our nation voluntary health care cooperatives formed a major part of the health care system. Many fraternal organizations, religious, ethnic, trade and social groups provided health care benefits to their members.

We have the vestiges of that system still today in union health plans, and to some extent those group health care cooperatives led to the common employment based health care groups we have today.

Instead of the government banning health care cooperatives they should promote them, although of course insurance companies, drug companies, and hospital groups hate the idea since health care cooperatives allow individuals to keep more money in the pockets and put less in the bank accounts of insurance companies, drug companies, and hospital groups.

The point is, the GOP congress and Senate has already passed a REPEAL bill. It passed both houses in January 2016 and homo vetoed it. lyin' ryan said that if we gave our country a Republican President, he would send up that same REPEAL again.

Well, here we are. We gave ourselves President Trump (R). And what happened next?

lyin' ryan lied. He pulled a bait and switch and served up a chamber of commies ACA 2.0 bill that only entrenched the federal government more as dictators of our private health matters, and Trump foolishly went along.

Trump has made mistakes before - bankruptcies - but he at least learned a few things in the process and didn't make the same mistakes again. Hopefully he's learned not to crap on the very people who voted him into office to repeal the damned thing.
