In Tulsa last night the place was packed with Jayhawk fans who drove four hours to get $40 tickets to the game. It was lovely. Win by 20.

SC is definitely enemy territory for Duke. Anymore, non-sanctuary cities are enemy territory for Duke

What makes me shake my head is that the NCAA moved the games from NC to that oh-so progressive and liberal state of South Carolina.

Now, don't get me wrong, I love South Carolina - in fact, I was born there. But to pretend that it would be just fine in the Palmetto State for a man to use the women's restroom is extremely foolish at best.

Just to put some balance out there: Some guys flew a confederate battle flag next to the arena for the Women’s Basketball play offs.

That ruffled some feathers.

What a crock!
The game was played in Greenville. South Carolina’s home is in Columbia. Yes, Columbia is closer to Greenville than is Durham, but Durham is only 241 miles away and lots of Duke fans could’ve gone. Probably they just assumed they’d make it past the 1st and 2nd rounds and bought tickets for the regionals.
You should know that SC is a pretty good team at times and can beat anybody on a good night, plus they have the SEC Player of the Year. Also, they scored 65 points on Duke in the second half alone, yes 65!!!
That 2nd game is often tough. UK-Wichita St., Kansas-Mich. St., UNC-Arkansas could’ve gone the other way. Only Louisville and Duke lost their tough 2nd game.

So Duke, a 2 seed, played a road game in the NCAA tournament at the home of the 7 seed, South Carolina.

It wasn't our home, but about 100 miles up I-26.

South Carolina fans packed the arena and helped propel their team over the alien horde from the north.

But there were plenty of North Carolina fans in the arena, cheering on our Gamecocks.

What is the name of the South Carolina team? That would be Game COCKS!

Well, like our bumper stickers say, You Can't Beat Our 'Cocks!

Upstate Greenville is in my opinion really much more like NC than SC, it’s politically different and it’s different as far as allegiance to sports teams. It’s ACC territory, being close to nearby Clemson. Clemson fans absolutely hate USC. You should see the antics during the annual game in their long football rivalry.

The difference between driving to Greensboro from Durham via I-40 West and driving to Greenville, SC from Durham via I-85 South is about two hours.

As much as this bizarre and stupid NCAA tourney move hurt Greensboro, it didn’t hurt Duke. Duke draws a substantial number of fans wherever they play.

So, sorry Duke fans. Need to find something else to blame the loss upon.

Duke lost? Didn’t even make it to the 2nd weekend?

But the sun came up this AM.

SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC!

If only Arkansas didn’t melt down late, they would have gone 3-0 against the ACC this weekend.

Duke didn’t play up to their standards, imo.
Had they done so they probably would have won.
