Exactly. There’s a reason no one has leaked transcripts of wiretapped conversations of, for example, Flynn and the Russians. Grassley and Feinstein exhibited the reactions you’d expect to see after Comey explained to them that Trump’s people talked to the Russians about child trafficking rings and there’s an FBI investigation alright, except it’s not of Trump but of politicos involved in those rings.

Tick! Tock! Tick! Tock! Is it a Crocodile or a time bomb? Looks like they wish they were in Never Never Land. ...or (conjecture) they found out about DC's version of The Rubba-Rubba Ranch?

Comey knows who ordered the surveillance aka colloquially termed wiretap and its a good bet its McCabe.McCabe and his wiretap is just the tip of the iceberg covering a giant Muslim-oriented spy ring.
Theres an enormous story the democrats and some republicans are trying desperately to distract from by throwing out diversions.
I think it's a combination of what you said *and* Pizzagate.
Incidentally, I believe Trump has the goods on Obama which is why he fled to Tahiti sans family.
I *speculate* that if it happens to be the case that the tinfoil hat crowd were right, and Scalia were actually murdered, Trump now has the goods on that.
Has anyone seen or heard of ValJar recently?

Did you notice the careful wording?
By entities of the US government
or some version of that. The Five Eyes aspect seems more likely now.

“wiretapped” is an obsolete word. Telephone cables of any distance have no wire, but are fiber optic cable. Now in many places the fiber goes to the house or office.
ALL telephone calls are logged and recorded. Long ago it was only those going outside or coming in from outside the US that were.
So, no “wires” were tapped, but Trumps conversations were recorded and accessible on demand. It is said that demand came from GCHQ in England. If there is proof of that? BAMM!
