A heartbreaking photo shows the moment an Air Force sergeant had to say goodbye to his K9 partner. Air Force sergeant Kyle Smith, from Gastonia, North Carolina, said that having to put Bodza down was one of the hardest things that he has ever done. He was euthanized on Thursday, and a military canine trainer draped a flag over his body. A photo shows Smith giving Bodza one final hug as he was laid to rest.

Why has my iPad screen suddenly gone blurry with moisture?
My screen is terribly “blurry” right now. I’ll get back to you later...
I remember that moment when i held my daschund as she was put down..will stay with me forever
Shows the strong bond between handler and K9. RIP Bodza... and thank you for serving the nation!
I’m having issues with my computer. My monitor is so blurry.
Sad.
When we had to put down our dog, my wife and kids came in with us. They stayed until it was over and they left.
I wept like a baby in there with that dog for about 20 minutes.
It was worse than losing some close relatives. He was the best dog a person could want. Some of my relatives...meh.
The extraordinary love and loyalty these wonderful animals give to you requires a very high price. Saying goodbye at the end of their lives is part of that cost. It’s one of the hardest things you will ever do.
Damn you.
Title was truncated, so I thought he would be hugging the coffin.
Frickin bleary eyed.
Thnx.
Hell yeah.
Served our country.
So yeah...
Yes. Military working dogs are considered active duty military in every respect.
To me, having known MPs from my youth that served in Vietnam, the emotion is in the details...
Note that the leash is wrapped about the soldier’s neck and clipped behind his back; he has set his dog free! No better statement of relationship can be said.
Wouldn’t have paid attention to that without your post
“Why has my iPad screen suddenly gone blurry with moisture?”
The same reason my computer screen has done the same thing.
Heartbreaking to say the least.
